District Assembly, Elland Road, Leeds about 15 years ago
by New Worldly Translation inthis memory just came to me and i wondered of anyone else remembered it.
it was at the district assembly where the questions young people ask book was launched.
all the young ones had to move and sit together in one stand of the football stadium.

Question for Former Elders (Current ones too..we know you are here)
by XBEHERE in.
i have been thinking about this for a while and wanted to get some of your thoughts.. how long after you were appointed an elder did it start to dawn on you that this was not the "truth"?
was being an elder a catalyst to that realization at all?

Where is their Love?
by Sadie5 ina couple of days ago i ran into a jw at my job at walmart.
she is a single lady around 50 years old and she looked terrible.
i asked how she was,(she always talks to me) and she related how she had lost her job and had to work two low paying jobs.

Jules, reading your posting really upset me......but please don't say that your husband wasn't shown love, because I for one can see that YOU showed him a lot. Dan sounded like a wonderful man, who had a genuine love for people, without prejudice. He gave of HIMSELF to those who needed help and ''shepherding'', regardless of the petty rules of the Organisation. That's a rare quality.

That's awful Beachbender - before joining this site, I really believed that family members could associate with their disfellowshipped relatives (I'm assuming you are). Do your children ever see their grandmother? Have they ever? Whatever your mother may believe regarding you, how can she justify rejecting 2 innocents?

JWs at My Door - and the Answer to a Prayer
by hemp lover inthis happened almost three years ago, but since i always enjoy reading about other people's jw encounters, i thought i'd finally share one of my own.. i lived in an apartment for four years following my disfellowshipping and no one had ever come to my door, not even so much as a shepherding visit.
(yeah, right.
) i had lurked on this board for a while, but was put off by the anger and negativity of some people and so i didn't stay long.

I told you - it was on the news. They moved a piece of paper from one part of the room to the other
I remember this Elsewhere - it was in Australia, and it was a beam of light I think.
The trouble with a lot of JW is they know very little about a lot of subjects, and they think they have their collective finger on the pulse.

I have no idea what the current policy is, if indeed there is one.
I think it's criminal to send children out like this - they have NO hope of answering any questions that require a degree of knowledge - it isn't fair to either the child OR the householder.

Your Choice: Lies, Confusion, or Drift - Which? (Mar 15 WT)
by metatron inthe march 15 watchtower contains two items about the blood issue.. first, it mentions a young witness named elena, who as "one of jehovah's witnesses,.
would not donate blood or accept blood transfusions" (pg18).. second, it contains a question from readers that appears as perfect an example of muddled.
watchtower-think as could ever be imagined.

Most dubs don't even know why they do or don't do something. They do what the watchtower says.
Totally agree - and by the same token, maybe the writing and content is just going to get / is getting sloppy - as who really cares?

Just got back from the 2004-2005 circuit assembly here are a few thoughts.
by PaNiCAtTaCk inupon arriving i ran into lots of old friends and really enjoyed seeing everyone and visiting.
they dont know that im currently struggling with doubts about the organization and they think that im the same old zealous brother.
i couldnt help but feel a sence of guilt visiting with them about our current number of publishers and how many we had pioneering ect.

Hit and Run? Is that the same as a coward who likes to have the last word, but has no ''bottle''? I think kingdavid will be back - just to LOOK, he won't be able to resist.
