Has Anyone Got Any Proof That The Society Monitors Apostate Web Sites?
by slimboyfat ini am extremely skeptical about this, yet people on this forum seem to talk about it as though it were a fact.
so has anyone got any actual concrete proof?
here are the reasons why i don't think they do:.

wannaexit,
I could not care less if the botchtower spies monitor this site.
If they do, good for them. They might learn a thing or two.
All I know is that it's the apostate web sites that are helping literally thousands get untangled from their web.
wanna
Yeah, this site is one of the most well-known, popular anti-JW sites out there! :) -

Sorry, I know I have had a lot of debate on this thread, and I hope I don't seem like a trouble maker and starting up another. I really thought it was a fitting time to say what I thought in the last thread.
Keep up the good posts! You always get to the point and have something interesting to say, Littletoe. :) -

Oh right. I have done some research into that matter, and it is evident that 1) Using the name Jehovah is a sound idea in the Greek Scriptures, 2) YHWH translate into Jehovah.
Are you aware of this book? The Name of God Yehowah pronounced as it's written?

He explains everything in there about these 2 points and more!
Warning though, it's quite hard to read but all the truth is there. He has many sources as proof at the back of his book. -

Does it have the divine name in the Hebrew and Christian Greek Scriptures?
How is it represented? Jehovah, Yahweh or... -

THE INFORMATION AGE AND NEW JW MARKETING CHANGES
by seven006 inlately on this board there has been a couple of threads that show how much the watchtower is being effected by the open communication of the internet and web sites like this one.
they are changing long time policy and trying new ways of getting their religious product to the market.
no longer do their leaders hear the voice of god and then pass it directly on as unwavering guidance to their customers.

@LittleToe,
Yeah... I think I have tried Green's version... not sure, I thought it was just another almost dito version of the AV. What's the full name of this version? ...It must be a different version than what your talking about. I should look into that one myself. :)
@Rescueme,
If you are talking with me, I agree with you, but I agree with you even if you are not takling directly at me. -

The New Light that burned me
by czarofmischief ini was reading the 1975 thread, and considered posting on it, but since i wasn't born until the carter administration, i don't think i really can comment on it.
i can sympathize, however.. you see, i was raised in the truth.
rarely missed a meeting.

1914 is only relevant to the appointment doctrine now. "This generation" now refers to the contemporary generation living when Armageddon starts. If Armageddon doesn't come for 1,000 years, the generation living when it starts will be "this generation".
Did you know the Witnesses used to teach that the end of the world, the great tribulation, and Armageddon were three different things and they printed that the world ended in 1914?
inquirer -- Wow, I liked the way they use to view things then! Somewhere along the line I must of got the doctrines confused. Anyway, Raymond Franz' book changed everything now, so I don't care about it much anymore. Thanks for clearing it up now.
I knew about 1914 was the end and then they always covered themselves up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Bastards! -
