On a whim, stopped by the library for books on Jerusalems destruction
by ithinkisee inso i was driving by the library on my way home today and remembered i do have a library card and decided to go in and do my own research on 607 bce.
i figured i might find a book or two in our little old library.
i did a search on the library's computers for "jerusalem history" and got a handful of books ... i wrote down the dewey decimal number (or whatever it is) of one of them (they are all in the same general section) and headed to the reference wing of the library.

I was so shocked to find out that Jerusalem was destroyed in 587/86 BC! I always thought the JW's were right on this! I never cared much to look in to the issue. I always thought the Watchtower were quoting something that agreed with secular history!
It's only been the last few months of my life that I have decided to change my mind after reading that book by that Swedish guy.
IT'S AMAZING WHAT YOU FIND OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

What Kinds of Jobs Do JWs Have That You Know Of?
by minimus ini was thinking that most jws that i personally know have jobs that they really aren't happy with.
almost no one is a professional except for one cardiologist that got baptized a few years ago.
there's no one that's been raised in the "truth" that has a college education that i know of except one 22 year old young man who has done nothing to seek employment since he graduated.........any witnesses that you know of with great jobs?

These Witnesses are so materialistic....
It's so opposite what the org says to do.
They are so hypocritical these people.
JW's always have a lot of money... And they are very pricy when you buy things off them in either way, shape or form!
When I hear about JW"s with expensive cars, it makes me feel sick! :( -

Now that you are out, do you have a WANDERING EYE?
by zagor inafter many years of repression do you now find hard to restrain you natural feelings?
it doesnt have to be wrong as one cousin told me, you admire beauty of the sunset, the song of birds; you appreciate exotic meal and equally you can now more appreciate the natural beauty of opposite sex.
reason why im asking is because today ive met a dub from my former congdubgration who immediately assumed i was "immoral".

Ah, you can look at a woman if you want to!
Even when I was a JW, I had that "stuff you, you are being too strict! Jehovah gets the final judge. There's nothing wrong with looking at a woman ... you may just like her hair style or something like that!"
You may think that top suits her or something like that! It doesn't mean you want to eros her! :O
Goodness me! People draw to allll these conclusions!
I went into the supermarket today and I was served by this really tall chick! Taller than me... 1.9 or something like that. I just thought she was beautiful... couldn't say I wanted to eros her or something. :( Just liked it how she was heaps tall!

Native American Artifacts
by IP_SEC inmy great grand father was one half cherokee, he taught me about making flint tools and a lot about the land.. his son, my grand father taught me how to find flint tools lol.. the area i'm from is literally littered, with these tools laying right on the ground.
some may have been lost in the hunt, others discarded as a broken implement.
have you ever found artifacts?

Netty
Cool artifacts IP_SEC. My grandfather was Yaqui (had green eyes, so not sure what % yaqui). We called him the medicine man. He had natural cures for everythig. He cured his own diabetes, and passed the remedy on to my father, who used it, he now has diabetes under control.

That's cool! :)
