I take it that you work on a fishing boat.
Just be careful that last week. The distraction of anger could be life-threatening when working on a boat. You need to keep your thoughts on the work at hand or the least you could lose is one.
ive just worked 40 days without a day off, on a boat with the same 26 people, and was meant to finish my rotation this wednesday to have 6 weeks off.
i have found out that my replacement isnt showing up and that i now have to work for at least another week.
i had plans to meet up with my significant other in thailand for 6 days on my way home to australia, now those plans are shot.

i've heard that placing literature written by ct russell in the door to door ministry would constitute apostasy.
at the very least a publisher would be d'fd if they did so.
i mean there are books written by ct russell that are so off the wall that your head spins.
We had a MS state from the platform one evening that "The date on the magazine is not an expiration date. They can be placed anytime."
So much for the older mags are bad mags idea.
my mom called last night to tell me he passed on sunday.
he died peacefully and fairly painlessly.
my mom said she was talking with him, went to answer the phone, and 5 minutes later he was gone.
Hugs to you. Sorry isn't enough.

Why are they changing all 'published by' references
From: Watchtower Bible & Tract Society etc.
To: Jehovah's Witnesses
My belief is that They think this will add another layer of protection between them and the public. It makes it a little harder to pin down just who publishes these books or who to bring to court.
They did it before in 2000 when the GB stepped down from their corporate positions in the WTBTS. Let someone else take the rap for the coverups. Since they Represent God™, many will stand in their stead. As if God needs protection.
this story comes out of hammond, indiana.
two buses carrying some 109 witnesses were involved in an accident that left scores with minor injuries.
the first bus rear ended an suv; the second bus rear ended the first.
Hope the elders followed the societys direction on this one.
i found this personal experience at the freeminds website.
it shows that if a bethel worker asks too many questions they will be asked to leave!.
so if anyone here is currently working at bethel and wants to leave before their time is up, just start asking questions!
Is this why they are laying off some 2000 bethelites? To many questions?
have you ever seen a congregation not raise enough hands to make a resolution pass?
In the hall here, there is a yearly required meeting of the local corporation™. It is held after the service meeting and in that meeting the congregation votes for the corporation officers who happen to be the same as the service committee. At my last corporation vote, when it was asked if any were against the three, I raised my hand high for all to see. If looks could kill. I was never approached about it. My nay vote didn't upset the results of the election.
i've always tried to teach my kids to follow aesop's fable of the 'sun and the wind', i.e.
try the gentle persuasion method for achieving your goals rather than head on aggression.
however as with most things in life there is a time and place for both.
I consider myself a fader who is an activist. All of my family is out now but I do have friendships with some who are still in. By DA or being DF'd could put a strain on those friendships. If the time comes and evidence™ presents itself to the elders and I am asked to join them for a meeting, I will do so. I will ask many questions knowing they will not be answered. I will then demand an appeal and then I'll write to the gb. I'll make them work for it. Make them think they've wasted their time. In the end I will have planted many more seeds. We have much evidence against the elders and the congregation as well. It's nice to hold such cards.

ever had that said to you?...outlaw .
I don't have to do anything to make them look bad. They do that all by themselves.
have elders told you one thing then did something else other than what they said they would do for you?
let me give you an example.
when the elders in our former congregation were trying to get my son to come to an elder's meeting they called me and said they would do everything possible to aid and assist my son with some problems that he was having.
This came out of the Chippewa Falls Wisconsin congregation.
Couple get engaged.
Couple go to elders for assistance.
Elder States that the couple will not be DF'd. They are there for the couples spiritual and emotional well-being.
Both DF'd
Since couple is engaged, what about chaperones and the engagement?
Elder States the engagement continues and the parents are the only one who can chaperone the couple. All others must follow the societies rules for shunning DF'd individuals. Parents must follow shunning procedures during all other times.
Elders remove chaperone priviledges from parents, force couple to not see each other under terms for possible reinstatement. DF'd people do not speak to other DF'd people.
Elder States that both will be reinstated together.
Only Sister is re-instated.
Of special note is that this sister had agreed to some terms made by her mother. When she fulfilled the last of the requirements to her mother, she could have left home and proceeded with the marriage. The Elders within a week, reinstated her and with it the continued requirement to shun her fiance.
The engagement is now off. The groom has moved on.
