The Kingdom Ministry is printed for use during the scheduled service meeting. For active publishers who go out in service. Since DF'd individuals cannot go out in service as active members of Jehovah's true one congregation?, they are not eligible to receive it.

The name changes again
by Jringe01 inhas anyone noticed how jehovahs witnesses are starting to be refered to in the press as "the christian congregation of jehovahs witnesses"?.
i wonder what the rationale is for the subtle name change.
i realize they had started up a new legal entity with that name but i didn't realize that they had extended it to the religion as a whole.

The New Letterhead that comes from Bethel lists "The Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses" thereinafter known as CCJW. There was a letter read to elders and ms about the change and it made reference that use of the word "christian' will help dismiss fear in the minds of those in the community, that it shows jw's as a 'christian' religion. The sign outside the kingdom hall however does not need to be changed.

JWs at my door - A new Twist
by Amazing insince i gave testimony against the society almost three years ago, i have not had a single jw call at my door.
historically, when they did come, i would take different positions in debate, and not reveal my ex-jw background.
once they could see that i was not impressed by their message, and was able to seriously challenge them, they would start looking for a qick out.

daydream - You are right. They do make sense when they are at the door giving their message. But ask them a question or two.
Ask about how Bethel was allowed to get a UN Library Card but the rank and file publisher cannot get a YMCA pass to go swimming.
Or ask about the flip-flop medical answers for organ transplants. Does a disfellowshipped witnesses who had a organ transplant while it was banned get automatically reinstated when transplants are allowed? How about witnesses who had a transplant while it was acceptable. Did they get disfellowshipped when the society flipped back to saying it is wrong to have a transplant
Ask them if they can say NO to an Elders request and not be looked upon as one who is not putting faith in Jehovah
Read them this one. They can look it up in their library.
Quote from September 1, 1961 WATCHTOWER magazine, page 525, paragraph 15
"If one renders obedient service to someone or some organization
whether willingly or under compulsion, looking up to such as possessing
a position of superior rulership and great authority, then that one can
Scripturally be said to be a worshiper."Then ask them what the second question to Baptismal candidates is. If they don't have it readily at hand. Here it is also.
Do
you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization? The statement "in association with" puts the society as this superior ruler with great authority and you must worship them or be disfellowshipped. You must follow their direction right or wrong.

99% chance it's the magnatron. We had it fizzle out in our microwave. We were fortunate to have a repair store where we live and they told us it would be cheaper to buy a new unit since the part was almost as expensive. Problem was that we couldn't find one the same size as the one we had and the wife really really likes this size. So we opted to buy the new part and have it installed. It all depends on how much you like your present unit. Most built-ins are standard sizes so you should be able to find one that fits the opening.

I asked the Circuit Overseer this same question. Witnesses take from the blood bank all the time but never return any of it.
The brothers and sisters all pay their taxes. We don't know if the government will use our dollars for military use or public use. We hope they will use it properly. The same goes for our blood. We donate it with the hopes that the bank uses it for the best purposes.
He told me to write the society. (I guess it's not an important issue for him to write) I'm not wasting another stamp on them. Sent two letters on different matters and they still haven't answered.

Censorship or counter-witness - which would you choose?
by Inquisitor inif you were in some public area and you discovered jw publications, what would you do?
(1) would you snatch the publications away and bin them (censorship)?
(2) would you write the url for jwd and silentlambs in the publication (counter-witness)?

I would place one of these in them.

don't know what happened... Lucas lost his touch, that's for sure. I just have no clue why he made the dialogue as stiff as he did.
Were we expecting more? Yes. I think though that it is difficult to write a script to lead a person upto an already decided matter (movie) We have preconceived ideas on how things led up to SW 4 and then Lucas had to write something to match it up. Plus
Technology is sometimes a bummer. Take for example Star Trek. The original series ship is quite sterile compared to the ships of todays movies and TV shows. How many people would watch a prequel made today with cardboard walls and blinking christmas lights for stars.
The concept for Star Wars was good. He made a good movie and hoped the fans/viewers would want to see how it all began. The difficult part is to make it blend.

What reaction would the JW's have if you walked into the Kingdom Hall?
by JH in.
for those who didn't attend meetings for a while, imagine that you just walk into your kingdom hall 10 minutes before a meeting.
what would be their reaction?

They would have to call Emergency 911 because the only why I'd step in another KH is if I were dead.
But of course I wouldn't be able to walk because I am dead.
But if I am dead then I wouldn't be able to type this post.
Sorry, I'm getting confused now. Brain dead.

This is just so sad
by troubled mind insince we have faded from the hall most everyone avoids us except for a couple of young ones that will stop by for a visit .
last night a young woman in her twenties came over we talked about several things, and she brought up that a while back she had seriously thought of suicide .
i asked if there were reasons as to why ?

Be the listening ear. If you say anything to anyone else she might feel you betrayed her confidences and you'll lose the ability to be there for her when she really needs a friend. If suicidal thoughts come up again, certainly you need to address them with her and possibly a third party.
Is there a suicide hotline number that you could have on hand? Just in case.
