  Judge Bans Shunning

  today i spoke with a former jw i've been in touch with for several years and discovered what i think could be a major bombshell for the wts.

  as we all know, shunning is the most powerful weapon the wt cult has over its members and for decades the wts has been able to get away with practicing it at their whim.

  the us and other courts have permitted them to to use it, even though it destroys families and has ruined countless lives.

  PREJUDICE---HAVE YOU BEEN AFFECTED BY IT?

  i was raised in a larger city congregation.

  there were many black and white families and there were other nationalities in the area.for the most part, i do not recall seeing obvious prejudice manifest in the congregation.

  have you seen or experienced prejudice from congregation members?

  Going out with a bang

  after much deliberation, i decided to go "out" at the end of a public talk.

  it didn't go down too well, but at least i was able to give some of my reasons for leaving.. i've put some of the details on my homepage.

  in 1935 a "new class" was "discerned" when the great crowd was understood to have an earthly hope and survive armageddon.. could there be a new "class" of witnesses surfacing today?

  considering the latest questions from readers article on blood transfusion, i was wondering what the feelings are among this forums participants about blood transfusion.

  over the years the society has been receiving a growing amount of letters on the subject of blood and blood transfusion.

  any interesting biblical perspectives here about whether "abstain from blood" means abstain from blood transfusion?

  #1 unclipped hair protuding out of your nose and ears.. #2 showing up at the restaurant without reservations.. #3 using her money to buy a gift.. #4 asking her daughter out if it doesn't work out.. #5 watching the football game while she says:"we have to talk!".

  #6 being a couch potato on your days off.. #7 never, never say she's fat even if she is.

  again, why do we pray through jesus, if he is not our mediator?
