Why are Witnesses better at being "Mean" than being "Nice"?
by JH inif the elders tell the congregation to shun someone, they will do a good job at it.. if the elders tell the congregation to be good to one another and forgive one another, it doesn't always happen.. if someone is in need in the congregation, it doesn't mean that they will be helped.. so, why are the witnesses better at being mean or insensitive, rather than nice and caring and generous?.
my sister is not a witness.
she is of another religion, and when someone in the congregation needs help, they go full speed ahead to help.

We had a sister with an unbelieving husband in my old KH. One of the brothers befriended him and started a Bible study. Once he discovered that Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate Holidays he was Gung-Ho to join. NO more Xmas, birthday, anniversary, and valentines day presents to buy. I think The Watchtower religious belief system attracts people who don't like sharing or giving material things.

Why don't Dub families have pets?
by MinisterAmos inout of a dozen or so dub families that live near me i can only think of one with a dog.
at mt ex-congo, i only knew of two families with pets, dogs/cats.
the non-dub pet owning percentage around me is near 100%.

unclebruce- it's too bad your Debbie didn't give my distant cousin some lessons on protecting her marriage bed- her husband Billy Jeff sure liked to fool around. I think we can figure out who has the high forehead (brains) in this marriage.
ps- can Lenny come to your family reunion?

Watchtower claim to be a small business to avoid Privacy Act. What do I do?
by jwfacts ini sent a letter to the wts requesting my personal records under the privacy act.
they refused so i went to the office of the privacy commissioner.
i just received a letter back saying they can not investigate it as the watchtower is a small business.

Well, that settles it. They have confessed! The WT Society is not a Church or religion- just a business. DO YOU JW's SEE the point- they are in the publishing business, that's all. You have all been duped, conned and swindled for over 100 years. Get out of the KH and start living your own life. A business has no juridiction over your soul and no authority over your life, either. The Elders are just sales directors for the WT publishing business. Take back your life, people!!!
peace,
Moshe
ps- don't businesses have to pay income taxes?

uncle bruce, I can't see why JW's are so jealous of us. I have here a picture of my cousin Lenny, he is the smart one in our family- shoot, he is so smart that he was the first kid in his 6th grade class to get a drivers license. JW's gave up after 3 years of free home bible studies on him when he decided he was of the annointed and quaffed the wine on memorial night

Comparing notes with people from other cong/countries allows us to let go of one more chain that was imposed on us. If we don't talk about these things they won't ever get resolved so we can "move on with your lives."
My wife has a cousin who never fails to bring up how his parents never let him have a dog growing up. He does this in front of them at our house during family holiday dinners. He plays with our Silky Terrier and lets everyone know how selfish his parents were ( dogs are too much trouble, son) and how deprived he was. I've heard this lament from this 40+ year old man 5 or six times. I wonder how many Witness children were deprived of pets growing up and still have issues today. It does look like this thread has struck a nerve - Witnesses so want to feel normal, but can't. The rest of us know we were cheated and are trying to right the wrong!
Uncle bruce, quite a family!

1000 people in a city get sick and are told they have terminal cancer. They all go to a hospital for treatment and they all pray to G-d to be healed. The ones who are rich get the best medical care and are able to afford special cancer drugs that cost $100,000 a year. Those who do not have insurance get lesser medical care. Those who get well thanks G-d for being healed, those who don't accept it as G-d's will.
Now which side do you really want to be on- without insurance and prayer only? - or on the side with AAA insurance and the money to pay for experimental drugs/treatment? The few people who seem to have miraculous faith healings tell their story for the next 20 years. The other 80% who didn't get healed by G-d ,die and we never get to hear their story. Religion is not in the business of keeping talley of failures when it comes to prayer.
