  Jehovah's Witnesses are not a CULT ...

  It's just like how I feel about President Bush. His supporters can see no wrong. My arguement is, so then we will let history judge him- History will decide, if he was a great President or one of the worst. The same thing would work for JW's , if they just looked at 125+ years of recorded history about the WT Society- AND that is why the Org goes to such pains to make the mind of a JW work like a child's magic slate- every few years they pull up the celluloid and erase the JW brain. Shoot, most will refuse to discuss any aspect of their feelings about 1975. I always ask a JW if they are happy- when they say yes, I tell them "you need to stop lying, Jehovah knows the truth"

  some guys have went to AC motors and solidstate dc-ac drive controllers to get around the lack of parts/support for the old DC motors. it might be cheaper to do that if the motor turns out to be trash. batteries can be replaced- look to spend $1000 for them. if married, I hope you have an understanding wife. If you are lucky, it will only cost you $2000 to get this car back on the road- unlucky $5000-6000.

  I studied with a Rabbi in 2001 in order to convert. My wife is Jewish. I found out some interesting things concerning what Jews believe about the Messiah. Of course, hardly anyone cares what Jews think about a Messiah. Christians are guilty of using the strawman to bolster their case for Jesus, I have found. Jews really don't care, if they are in the 1%. Just live a good life, friend.

  An electric car makes a great commuter vehicle, IF you can plug it in at work!! I toyed with the idea of gettin one of those Zap two wheel electric scooters a few years ago- plugging it in a work for the recharge to drive 5 miles home.

  and don't even bother to say "Sorry!" to the people they hurt. In fact if ya complain, they'll tell your parents and your kids to shun ya.

  How right you are. I remember telling a CO around 1980 that the Society had bloodguilt for it's reversals on blood factions and organ transplants. I asked the CO- "doesn't Jehovah demand an accounting for all the innocent witnesses who died because they didn't get a kidney transplant or blood fraction to treat hemophelia? He told me to keep it to myself or I would be disciplined for creating divisions in the Org.! The society never says we're sorry for killing your family members.

  this is a difficult thing for me to do, i used to be a jehovahs witness 20 years service as a pioneer.. last thursday it was announced from the platform at my local kingdom hall that i was disfellowshiped.. it was a bit of a shock.

  i still have a deep sence of anger at what happened to me and its so unfair.. it started 3 years ago when i began to feel ill and i missed a couple of meetings.

  the elders were wonderful and came round and cheered me up.

  Welcome! and I hope you can get the best medical care available, not constrained by unscientific JW rules. You can gain a new circle of loyal friends and believe me, In 10 years it will be hard to remember the names of everyone at the KH.

  I fine with being out of work- it could be two or three more years before they reassign me to another plant. -It's all about big business and I believe the somebody who made these decisions is down in Brazil right now in a beachfront condo at Rio, overseeing the quality of their contracted parts- and maybe spending a big expense account.

  Jehovah doesn't care what those old farts in Brooklyn,do or don't do. I knew something was amiss when I got appointed an Elder. I always figured it couldn't happen ,because Jehovah sees all, knows all and I knew I had a second, hidden life that would have gotten me disfellowshipped, if it ever came out. Looks like the Circuit Overseer was blind, too. All he saw was my publisher record card and my teaching ability. And boy could I throw out an entertaining one hour public talk- 5 minutes notice?- no problemo. I played the Elder game for two years and then even I got bored with it. If I had been in a big city Cong. with a lot more sin and sisters to counsel about their oral sex hangups, I might have hung in a little longer.

  The fact that all the original annointed remant, save maybe one or two demented souls in nursing homes, are DEAD says someting about waiting on Jehovah-
