There are really TWO Watchtower Societies
by Terry inwith cedars release of leaked watchtower new light "adjusting" understanding of "who" the faithful and discreet slave is.....i am struck by something which similarly struck me back in 1967.in 1967 i had just been imprisoned.
being a male jehovah's witness during the viet nam war meant certain "issues" arose affecting a decision to respond to the military draft.i have told the story before.
but, i'd like go at it from another angle in view of the above mentioned new light about the fds fora different reason.it was first in 1967 i began to discover that there are two watchtower societies.let me explain why i say this and for what reasons.first of all, anybody standing in a kingdom hall or sitting in a seat at a vast international assembly saw people they would identify as all on the same page.

Thank you Terry.
It's too bad that JWs also have two brains. One that works by logic on the job and when they balance their checking account. The other brain works on Watchtower circular logic and keeps them on the KH's treadmill to "be a loyal/active JW" , despite all the doctrinal flip-flops and changes they see every year.

Congregation had to relocate Memorial...thanks to me
by Shepherd Book inso, the two local congregations were planning to hold their memorial together at 7:30 at the local community center, but they had to make a last-minute change to their own hall, and i'm pretty sure it was because of me.. let me explain.... at work on monday afternoon, a co-worker returned from her lunchbreak and showed me the memorial invitation that was waiitng in her door when she went home for lunch.
i noticed the sticker on the back indicated the memorial was being held, not at the local hall, but at the community center.
from a past (non-jw) event i attended there, i knew they didn't allow alcohol (unless you pay for security guards), so i wrote to the center's coordinator:.

at the risk of bring flamed, I thnk this kind of crap gives us apostates a bad name.
hahaha- and just how, pray tell, would an apostate get a good name in the KH?- however, you can be a nice and compliant apostate by being their doormat.

First mention of "new light" may appear in July 15, 2013 Watchtower
by cedars ina trusted source informs me that the "new light" about the faithful slave is to make its first printed appearance in the july 15th watchtower, which should be available for download online three weeks from now, on around april 15th.. i'm led to believe that the references to the new understanding are made in such a manner as to suggest the "new light" isn't that new at all, which suggests to me that little or no effort is being made to explain the doctrinal connotations.
my source and i are hoping to get a key paragraph posted at the earliest opportunity.

The WT has really stepped into the quick sand by claiming the GB is the F&DS- if they wiggle around anymore trying to explain all the obvious contradictions to this new dogma, they will just sink up to their necks in trouble.
The JWs are all blockheads anyway when it comes to logic. As long as the WT leaves their wallets alone the brothers will accept any new WT teaching that lets them continue to believe that JWs can cheat death and live forever as perfect humans on a paradise Earth.

Three quarters of all inactive Witness voters experience "pre-emptive shunning" even though they are not disfellowshipped
-
Only 5% of active Witness voters agreed with ALL Watchtower beliefs and practices
This shows me that the people who took this survey proabably weren't the JWs who were doing all this shunning, which means that very few faithful JWs took this survey.-for if 95% of the active JWs disagreed with all the WT dogma, they would be smart enough to disregard the shunning part , too.
Most of the fading JWs here are pretending to be active witnesses- phoney time reports, etc, and as such could categorize themselves as active JWs on this poll . Just how many of the JWs who stumbled onto cedars poll are real disenchanted JWs is anyone's guess.
Someone should attempt a random survey of JWs near a summer convention- like at a hotel and report those results for comparison.

Congrats and Good luck!- our girl turned 13 last August- it's been a roller coaster year- she starts high school in the fall. 13 is when they can legally join facebook, get their own Email account, twitter, etc.-- I think she has finally figured out that facebook is just trouble.twitter is for old people. So far she hasn't reactivated the last one that was cancelled , after some "problems" - Girls are mean- emotionally mean and back stabbers- for the most part guys just talk about "stuff".
a heads up- a new app called snapchat should be avoided at all cost- so far she hasn't asked for it, and I plan to NOT let her get started on that one.

Confirmation bias= the JWs will see what agrees with their religion and ignore what causes them mental anguish.

I'm still the same old friend and I'm here if you ever need me."
My best buddy from school- one room country school all the way through high school dropped off my radar about 20 years ago- he was a truck driver and we met up as he passed through town on a run- had a great evening together. Due to moves we lost touch- last year I remembered his wife's first name and ran a people search using her name and located my old friend- we talked on the phone for 30 minutes. He blamed me for not staying in touch- he said I moved (well he did , too) and he didn't have any way to locate me- "did you think about calling my IBEw union hall and asking them, if they could pass your phone number on to me?"- oops never thought of that!!-
Anyway, we have totally moved on in different directions and he implied I was dumb for converting to my wife's Jewish faith. I suspect that old friend of yours is different than you remember- don't worry about them anymore.
- My HS friend has my phone and email now, but I know he won't be contacting me- unless I win the Lottery,
