i was surprised to see a letter stating the dc for michigan would be held at the local assembly hall instead of the big convention center in ohio where it had been held the past few years.
have you all heard about this?.

I think the WT is in damage control mode- the Internet is really defining who the JWs are and what the WtachTower is as a religion. They really have no viable ways to overcome negative news-- Keeping assemblies small allows them to stay under the radar of the local press.- heaven forbid some reporter asks an elder about the Conti case or shunning.

The July 15 Watchtower and all its new light is only...

when i found out it was up i told so many people frantically that there is a new study article up and that it had so many changes.
my mother started crying saying how happy she is to be a part of an organization that is truly directed by jehovah... only the true faithful and discreeet slave could have such insight.... another person began to say how great it is to see the celestial chariot on the move.. .

That's just your opinion
by Terry inwe've all heard the saying, "everybody is entitled to their own opinion--but--not to their own facts.".
we all have our own idea of what is tasteful, what is funny, what is fair and all that is called our opinion.. but, when a group of self-important men start demanding our loyalty because they represent god's truth---what prevents.
us from saying politely, "well--that is just your opinion"?.

Well, 40-50 years ago the WT impressed new people- love, organization, dazzling 5 day assemblies with apocalypic endtimes talks ( an amazing hot meal service, too) that promised they could get you and your family safe passage through Armageddon- if you were a baptised, dedicated, official working/preaching JW. They painted a scary time of the end, that they convinced us was going to end in just a few more years-- time was of the essence- it only took six months to study that little blue Truth book and obtain your ticket from the elders .
Today, the smart people are jumping ship- listen to Terry and stop being stooges for the old Governing Body geezers at Watchtower headquarters.

Someone in here is a mole
by focariedu21 inhy guys the other day my wife had a discussion with her jws brother and he told her that he received all posted material from this site posted by myself and was disgusted with the information.
now that's all fine by me but what i am pissed about is that some one in here from sydney australia is a mole and pretends to be an ex jws while all the while exposing each and every one he knows as in my case.
you are one big coward and one who hides behind a skirt a yellow and a chicken shit whom doesn't have the balls to face me in person because you obviously know who i am.

You can register and lurk here every day, but never make even one post.
That said, getting outed only forces folks to do something about leaving the KH, which they were too timid to do on their own- otherwise, many would be lifetime doormats for the JWs at the KH and miss out on the real life outside the WT.

'1600 years of Ice melting in 25 years is a bad omen'
by designs inglaciologists from ohio state university have been studying the ice fields in peru.
tropical peru is home to ice formations 18,000 feet up in the quelccaya region, the largest of these tropical region ice sheets.. the glacier is melting so quickly that plant samples are having to be frozen artifically so that scientists 30 years from now can have something to study, lonnie thompson from the university said in the interview.
the ice field is the smallest it has been since the last ice age.. peruvians rely on the water from the glaciers, which will be reduced by 50% in their lifetime.

Cutting down the rain forests to supply, chopsticks, newsprint, Kleenex , Charmin and buidling material is a grave threat to our climate, but nobody is willing to give up their disposable paper products in order to save those forests. It's hard to make money with glacial ice.
