so, i'm getting ready to head out the door this morning, and kate says that my lunch is ready and sitting on the kitchen countertop.. i take my vitamins, and right next to them is a can of purina alpo "prime cuts (in gravy!
)"...and what's even better, they've been flame broiled.
i'm thinking that the honeymoon is over.. .

the voter turnout for the 2004 us presidential election was 60.7% (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/a10492-2005jan14.html).
despite being threatened by terrorists, iraq's voter turnout was much greater than the last us voter turnout!
i'd say it was a far greater success than expected!
How would that be different from a western country?
Well, I havn't been raped or tossed off a roof lately for opening my mouth, so it is a *little* better here.
Jean
ladies and gents, how are you all?
great...now thats out of the way, i need you guys to do me a favour, i have been reading up on jws for the past three/four years, the people are pleasent enough and live fairly ordinary lives....some could say boring....(lets call up susie for a game of cards!!!!!
i come here with a problem....my problem is simple and clear cut, it could even be summed up in one word..."hope".
Welcom, And1.
I stopped believing in the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society when I realized that they had created a place for themselves in the theocratic org chart which does not exist.
They put themselves in between Christ and Men.
That was it for me, and opened my eyes to all kinds of other things that the Organization was lying about. This question was asked here a little bit earlier. You may be interested in reading this thread: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/83925/1.ashx

about a week ago it was brought to administrations attention that there may be apostates lurking on our board, as a precautionary measure we deleted 107 members who had never posted since they joined.
this morning sadly enough our attention was again directed to a possible apostate within our midst.
i don't mean to scare the pants off you fellow jwd members but it's been brought to the administration's attention that there may be apostates lurking on jwd, too.
It *was* funny, FHN. I laughed my ass off.

S,
I was under the impression that some classes of women (ie who you knew, or what faith you were) had it much better than others. That is was not an evenly applied freedom.
I'd say that in any country that has a leader who allows his sons to rape women publicly and then toss them off a rooftop for fun, that women are not necessarily respected in that country.
I'll take a look at the information that you provide, though. Thanks!
Jean
they'll be lucky to see me at all at the farguing book study meeting!!!
damn it, if they don't have anything new to study, why not move some of the other meetings' material to this hour thus making shorter those other meetings???!!!
of course not, for this move would be too simple yet smart and full of common sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I remember studying this book, and it was painfully obvious that the conductor had absolutely no idea what he was feeding us. We were confused, not by the depth of the information, but by the circular logic which assumed we would take certain facts as facts with no proof other than the old GB=Mouthpiece of Jah.
The inability of the r&f to ask for proof whithout being classed as disloyal or stupid has saved this organization its membership. In any other situation, getting such hogwash as answers and then seeing that the hogwash is coming from the Leadership of the group would have most intelligent people running away in droves.

CG: thanks for sharing that article. I sure hope things improve for Iraqi women. They have been brutalized for centuries in that part of the world.

In the election of 2002 there was 100% turnout and Saddam got 100% of the vote now how impressive is that?
Um....Riiiiggghhhtttt...
it's so nice to have a cat around the house
How could anyone not love this face?
Precious!
