I've said enough. Suffice it to say, Russell was the 7th messenger.

Appreciate your position. I'm not out to convert anyone. It's God that does the calling. The Church(144,000) have understandings that religions don't. Remember religion is not Truth although it has some truth. Truth was not intended to be an open book. I believe it was that way also in the first century. See Col 1:2. There are two groups that are addressed. One has to understand that in the Divine Plan that there are three phases. Redemption, restitution, and selection of the Bride which must preceed restitution. The Bride is not yet complete. But it's close, and then the four winds will be loosed.

Jesus is the mediator, not of the church for the church has no need of a mediator. Nor is he worshipped by the church, for he is our brother.

He is not worshipped. ROM 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[j] who[k] have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified;" NIV

Yes you read well between the lines. I believe CTR had been appointed from birth, by God, to be that Wise and Faithful Servant. Not a prophet, although he was prophetic, and not an apostle. But a servant to the church.

Thank you for the welcome. I am not as dogmatic as many on this subject. I simply find that when polarization occurs, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. There's also 2Pet 3:4 to consider. Personally, outside of chronological support from the Jubilees and the Pyramid, there's no absolute reason that Jesus had to return in 1874 although something did have to occur. As for CTR, he was 22 at the time and scripture said he would be found doing what he had been assigned when the master did return. It seems logical to me that this could well have been 1914 for example and in the interim, God himself had been in the process of selecting a bride for his son, as is the Scriptural custom. Shalom.

I find this Volume 2 quote interesting. "But what are the reasonable conclusions from these Bible teachings? Let us consider what must follow, from the standpoint of reason, and then see if any other scriptures will either warrant or contradict those conclusions. First, we infer that when the "Times of Restitution" are due to begin, the presence of the GREAT RESTORER is also due. This would be a very reasonable inference, but it amounts to much more than inference when it is endorsed by the Apostle's positive inspired statement, that "When the [appointed] times of refreshing shall come from the <PAGE 188> presence* of the Lord [Jehovah],...he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you, whom the heaven must retain until THE TIMES OF RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began." `Acts 3:19-21`" THere are several things that have to be harmonized. Psalms 110:1-2 "Sit at my right hand until I........Go subduing." Who is the Great Restorer?

Have you ever had an encounter with a UFO?
by free2beme inwhen i was about 16 years old, a group of us friends would go hiking a lot on the weekend.
we would rough it to some degree, just a sleeping back and sleeping under the stars.
one night, while hiking into a lake in northern california, we all were sleeping in a clearing just out of legal distance from a small mountain lake we liked to fish in.

People don't want to believe in demonic presence. Do you think all that went away in the first century?
