mine goes back to may of 1955.. i was 17 months old.. my mother went into labor with the last of her 13 children, and i remember pitching a fit because the midwife wouldn't let me into her room.. how about you?.

Wipeout, Season 2

i've been working on this tv show for the past month and a half...insanity!

i think the first episode airs in february, but we've been filming for several weeks now.

it's the first time i've been on the set of a reality/game show, it's a lot of fun, especially being part of the fx crew.

WLG, we love Wipeout and the original Japanese game show it isa rip of. MXC, the only reason to watch TV.

I thinks it's funny that there's a lawsuit over it, and the public actually buys into the hype. Like six said, except from another perspective, it's amazing what we think is real compared to reality. For instance, the creator of Wipeout came up with the concept on the tailgate of the FX trailer, and last I heard he still has not seen the other show. The guy literally doesn't watch TV, doesn't see movies, and definitely doesn't need to rip off anything to make money. It is amazing, however, how there are so many similar concepts that come out independently of each other. Remember the whole ID4, Armegeddon, Core, and "(that other end of the world film with Dennis Quaid?)" film set that was so similar? Not saying no one knew they were making a show that would be called a rip off...but whoever knew never said anything to the people who didn't.

Spike TV is suing because ABC ripped of their show...but they use the creator of the rip off to create their new show Bullrun...and ABC is using portions of the FX crew on the Spike TV show as alternates on their "rip off"...because we know the set. Sound fishy to anyone else?

Next it'll be settled with undisclosed conditions, right before the new season airs. At least that's my bet. Cheap advertisement.

I'm just happy to have a job that I like, in tough times, plus I get to send out xmas cards to all the people I owe money with a check inside, and THAT feels great. Actually...that's the best part.

I've been working on this TV show for the past month and a half...insanity! I think the first episode airs in February, but we've been filming for several weeks now. It's the first time I've been on the set of a reality/game show, it's a lot of fun, especially being part of the FX crew. I just left that show to move over to another one, Bull Run Season 3.

I started working in special effects a few months ago, and it's all a blur so far. I haven't had time to do anything for me in so long I don't know what to do first when I finally get time off. You always hear people say no one understands how show business is and now I see why. At first you spend everything you make to buy equipment so you can work, and then you work so much you can barely remember what month it is, I always ask people what day it is because I seriously don't know. Yesterday I was fighting the paper machine because I put 50 cents in and no paper. D'oh...Sunday.

Anyway, hope all you guys are doing well, good to see the old home place is still here.

When you fade you start to lose the pace with the rest of the group, in particular the mannerisms, language, and behavior patterns of those in the organization. "The chariot is on the move" is a great way of saying "things change constantly, and if you aren't keeping up, we'll be able to tell who you are." The difference is detectable on a subconscious level so people currently in will be able to tell something isn't the same and their defenses will go up. Of course the common defense is "not to associate" with someone.

They probably don't even know what they are doing. Spending your time thinking about it just gives something else to a group that doesn't deserve it.

i think that simon's announcement that this venue was closing was the catalyst.

i looked around the other forums and realized i just don't need them anymore.

i have logged in here probably 10% of my former time since the announcement, first to do the 'admin' stuff that was happening immediately following - but now usually only once a day, maybe 10 minutes, and can't even find much of interest while i do that.

I can't believe I'm working with these guys and their crew, who are incredibly professional and talented, much less do I expect it to last as long as I want it to, but it's definitely one of those experiences in life you never forget.

thanks to this site, not only am i free of the mental imprisonment, but i am also free of the fear that the society used to keep me and others like me silent.. i am not a witness anymore because the truth is not what we are directred to think it is.

once we allow ourselves to think, it is clear as day that there is no real basis for anyone to take the title of faithful and discreet slave.

there are folders and lists which contain the names of pedophiles who were never turned over to the proper authorities for their crimes.

Well done, I was interested in your references to the investments in tobacco, military,friends of court etc. What specific detailed information can you provide to back these statements up as I am amassing a file in my own research to leave.

Google is your friend... Try RJ Reynolds and Watchtower, there are filings with the SEC which are public record any time stock changes hands. Military Equipment - Try Rand Cam Engine Company, same SECD information. Friend of court was filed with Billy Graham Ministries in late 80's over the governements attempt (successful) to be able to tax literature, which is where the "donation arrangement" came from. Pull court records in Greensboro, South Carolina UN. Just walk in and ask to go to the library. Need a card? Neither did the Society. There's plenty more. As far as them hurting me by knowing my name...they can't even face their own past, and my family is already gone. Besides, a life lived in fear isn't a life I want any part of. I have nothing to hide, and I'll admit to anything I've done, but I don't have to answer to them anymore. I'll gladly share my stories so others can benefit, but not to be persecuted by some group with self appointed authority. They can go to hell and I'll hold the gate open for 'em. There are changed documents from watchtowers that were altered for the bound volumes to the elders guidebook which are notated at special meetings. The Watchtower corporation has and/or continues to have assets in tobacco companies, military equipment manufacturers, and an active role in the United Nations. They have changed the meaning of the word "generation" several times based on how close their current explanation was to blowing the business. They have filed as friend of the court with leaders of other religions. They have changed policies which have resulted in the deaths of faithful Witnesses, and have not done anything to make reparations to those disfellowshipped for the old policy, much less those who have lost loved ones or contact with family.

Worst of all is the arrogance with which they judge others, while doing the very things they use to justify their condemnations.
