oh misa, this young man definitely doesn't need any encouragement for the further embelishment of his ego!...cause he'll end up too inflated with self-import that re-entering the outside world may cause him to spontaneously combust...and think of what that'd do to his pretty boy features;) x

Disturbing Information Passed on in Annual Elders Meeting?
by Dune inas you all may know, the elders around america have had (or will have) their annual meetings.
you know, the ones where they are trained and brought up to date about the whole scheme of things.. anyway, an elder who i happen to be close to was telling me yesterday that some troubling/disturbing things has been going down in congregations worldwide.
he also mentioned that it will be mentioned in watchtowers and km's in the next few months.. anyone know what he may be talking about?

Usually their "big news" isn't news at all.
oh so true, just a scare tactic usually to put the fear up people and keep bums in seats for a few more months. Perhaps they've just printed the yearbook and attendance, god bothering & dunking are all down 50% from 2004, hehe!...whatta sweet dream:)

You know I was just thinkin about how long it's taken me to get over despising Sundays! Sunday's are the most glorious few hours of life in the world now! All those years of sleep-in deprivation, dragged out of your warm and snugglies to god bother people, or drag yourself to a ruddy 9am WT session...oh the memories, yeash...The only Sunday sacrelege would be getting up before 11, and not indulging in a hearty cooked breakie:)) yay for Sundays!! Enjoy yours people:) x

...and you totally should infamous, would do you a world of good...you can always come back to what you've left behind, but it'll never be the same as when you left it...but that's not necessarily a bad thing:) x

How can man be created in god's image, if he is an all-knowing, omnipotent, omnipresent, transcendent, "supernatural being" etc? If humans are the ultimate purpose of the universe, and the centre of "god's" love and attention, then how come he gets his rocks off from imposing suffering on millions of tiny babies just cause he was p!ssed of with satan da debil for challenging his "right to rule" this miniscule planet? Sure 1000days is like a day in the life of the great jehoba, but it aint like that for us mere mortals livin down her on this great big blue green thing! God is a f*cked up concept, a delusion to distract us from accepting life as it is without perfection....and yet he is real to so many, so this god person is made real through the consequences of how we think...

I'd have thought that'd be sacrelege?? Sounds very evangelical to me. When I ran away to Ghana, West Africa to get away from all the dub madness, I found myself in one of the most quirky xian communities ever! Little shacks that sell fried plantane, shoe polishers wagons, you name it all had names like Jesus Incorporated, YHWH enterprises, p!ss funny stuff...didn't expect the same from dubs though! Perhaps they think they'll get a double helping of holy spirit or something, or do it so that god doesn't get confused and bless some pagon window washer instead...cause that'd be a tragedy;) frog x

Found an A-Z guide to xmas for ya;) http://www.howstuffworks.com/christmas.htm
HOW CHRISTMAS WORKS??
Let's say that on December 20 you were to meet a friendly space alien. That is, let's say that his space ship discreetly drops him off in your back yard while you are looking out your window. You walk outside to meet the visitor, and you find out he's a pretty nice guy. His name is Gorg, he is wearing a costume that makes him look passably human, he speaks reasonable English, and he explains that his goal is to spend a week on the planet to learn about its people. He asks if you would consider being his guide for the week, and you decide to take on the job.So you take Gorg around and start showing him your town. Since it is December 20, one thing is for sure -- Gorg is going to ask about Christmas. And he is going to ask a LOT of questions, because Christmas is a pretty complicated tradition. Think about all the different questions Gorg might ask:
- What is Christmas?
- Why is Christmas such a big deal?
- Why do people give each other presents on Christmas day?
- Is December 25 really the day Jesus was born?
- Why is there a small evergreen tree in your living room?
- Why have you decorated this evergreen with ornaments, lights, fake snow and Mylar plastic tinsel?
- Why do you have holly draped over the mantel and staircase?
- Why is mistletoe hanging over the front door?
- And what about this nativity scene in the corner?
- Why is there a big log in the fireplace?
- Why are there poinsettias on the hearth?
- And what about these fruit cakes?
- Why are there oversized socks hanging on your mantel?
- Why are Christmas cards scattered all over the coffee table?
- Why do I keep hearing the same songs over and over again?
- What, exactly, are the 12 days of Christmas?
- Why do Christmas carolers walk around the neighborhood singing?
- Why is the day before Christmas, Christmas Eve, celebrated?
- Who is this Santa Claus person?
- What's with this reindeer named Rudolf?
- Why do so many people, even Floridians, dream of a white Christmas?
- Why is Christmas sometimes spelled Xmas?
- Why are stores and malls so geared up about this holiday?
If Gorg can assimilate all of that and make sense of it in a week, then obviously he is a member of a highly advanced species!

heya dbh,
Totally know where you're coming from matey, I still have those thoughts even a few years on from the height of all the madness. Thing is though that I have picked up and moved on a few times now, and yet I still get the itch sometimes to disappear completely. So, I think those moments when you think it's a realy solution, are more about escaping the pain of our situations. I've moved far enough away now from everyone I ever knew, and family, to a place that feels more like home than I've ever felt before, it really fits me. My family all know where I am, and I've been pretty fortunate enough to reconcile with a few of them, and become really close again, something I'd never have dreamed of a few years ago. So, while I think it's really valuable to spend a couple of years shedding your old skin (as ts says), I think it's important to touch base now and then with those you've left behind, just to give them a chance. I just think that otherwise you'll cause yourself even more pain by trying to banish them from your memory. Eventually though, we have to leave all the crapola behind mentally, not just physically. I really needed those few years of being on the move and soul searching, it was the right thing for me at the time. Anyways, you too will find your space and place in time:).
Frog, of the knows exactly where you're comin from class:) x
