What would happen if all of the WTS in-house attorneys quit?
by truth_about_the_truth ini was wondering, if the wts legal dept.
got overwhelmed with lawsuits and their volunteer attorneys at bethel decided that they couldn't take it anymore and decided to leave bethel, how would this affect the society?.
would the society have to consult outside attorneys?

Would the society have to consult outside attorneys? Outsource them eventually? If that happens, how would it affect the WTS?
Non-witness attorneys in charge of handling their affairs would have a drastic affect on the WTS policies wouldn't you think? Not to mention the additional financial drain due to massive legal fees which for the most part they have been able to avoid up to this point because of their volunteer lawyers.
It's an intriguing possibility.

by greendawn inthe jws feel like a judaic religion thinly disguised as christianity, they are the organisation of jehovah and not the church of christ, everything is jehovah centred while christ the head of the church is relegated to the margins, virtually all jws refuse to participate in the christian new covenent, their mindset is very works and not grace oriented, they really too heavily on the old testament and as if all that is not bad enough they claim to be the only true christian religion and viciously denigrate christian religions as apostate christendom and babylon.
i can see there a strong jewish influence and not surprisingly since russelll and rutherford, at least early in his presidency, were closely allied with the jews and supported by them.

This thread really bothers me, and after reading this it finally hit me why. We complain about the JWs saying how they're the only right religion etc., and yet I think this thread has a definite air to it that says *Christianity* is the "right" way of life. I'm not sure that's said in so many words anywhere, but it's the tone I'm getting. I'm figuring most of the ppl on this site (the ones I know at least) are ex-JWs. We spent however many years putting down other religions as JWs; why do we need to keep doing that?
Christianity in it's purest form is not a religion. Jesus never came to establish a RELIGION. He came to establish a frame of mind, state of heart. People made religions and started calling them "Christian".

Do you think the media tells you the truth?

they will say they have gone to college or have read information on topics, and then be swayed in their thinking by one news program.

If you believe the mainstream media tells the truth I have some oceanfront property in Iowa I'd like to sell you. Not to say that everything in the paper or the headline on TV is bogus but they NEVER focus on what are the most important issues going on at the time. At times, stories are completely fabricated to cause you to think in a certain direction. Alternative media on the internet is the place to go for a more accurate assessment of what is going on and what really matters. Here are a few good sources:

Even a casual examination of the scriptures will make it apparent that Judaic law was there for the purpose of fulfilling the prophecies regarding the Messiah, Jesus. Once Jesus came and did what he did, he fulfilled the Mosaic law and established a new law based on faith of his return (not works) and love of God and neighbor.
Now when you see the WTS focus on the Judaic law in much greater proportion than Jesus and the example he set in displaying unconditional love, one has to ask why? Why don't they let go of the Law? Why can't they move on despite all the research that they appear to do regarding the scriptures? They don't seem to get it do they? I would have to say that they are not ignorant of the true nature of what it really means to be a Christian, but they are deliberately keeping that on the backburner and focusing on the Law and a works-based form of worship. It has a lot to do with their Masonic influence which is in turn Zionist. All based on the Talmud and the Kabbalah resulting in the retention of the Mosaic law which ultimately nullifies what Jesus did for us in giving his life.
The WT claims to be a Christian religion, but ask yourself, how much emphasis is really put on Jesus in their publications and all of their meetings? Not much huh? How about the emphasis they put on works? The FDS? Old testament modern day applications? Quite a bit right? In fact, this is the core of their ideology. This is what the WTS is all about folks. It's bastardized Christianity with Masonry at it's core.

Bro. Schroeder dies
by bythesea ini just received this news from a bro who has connections in bethel.... .
bro albert d schroeder died at 10:30 am new york time today at brooklyn bethel...he was 94 yrs old.. he was born on april 7, 1911 in saginaw, michigan and entered bethel service in 1932. he was appointed a member of the governing body on december 18, 1974. bro schroeder's life story appeared in the march 1, '88 wt pages 10-17: entitled: "my life in jehovah's spirit-directed organization.".
i don't know if the "today" means it was actually today...as i can't be sure when my friend received this news... but anyway, another of the old guys bites the dust.. .

Some researchers suggested that Knorr and Franz had such ancestry hence the strong Judaic influence on the JW theology.
