It's just a quote in the book. Nothing more, nothing less. Believe it or not, it's up to you.
Good to hear from you again abbaddon! You've been missed!
the watchtowers call to all congregations for accountants and lawyers especially those familiar with tax laws makes me seriously think they may be in hot water.
since the watchtower organization has been very vocal especially in the past about its anti-government stanse and its df'ing of persons that join the military,or other government jobs, i'm willing to speculate that the united state counter intellignece agency has seen the need to sneak some of its agents inside the wt, for internal security purposes.
also i'm sure that the internal revenue has been keeping a close eye on the gb,, the reason being that they are a huge cash cow, and a dishonest coniving mind control cult.

Here's an excerpt in a book I'm reading called "Bloodlines of the Illuminati" by Fritz Springmeier in the chapter on the Russell family:
"As a consequence of how connected the WT Society is with politics, big business, etc. the WE
Society has been closely watched by the FBI which has over 12,000 pages in its files on the WT
Society alone. This figure does not include its extensive files on individuals, of which everyone of the
WE Society Presidents has had a file."
i posted this on the other watchman thread.. you know what is sooooooooooo funny?
e watchman hates, absolutely hates ray franz.
wait for it............................................................................................. .
It's ironic that e-watchman is being vocal about WT issues and criticizing Franz simultaneously. Obviously he hasn't read either of his books.
I found the e-watchman board to be pretty lame anyways.
if they any of them had or have children that needed a blood transfusion to live, i wonder if they would deny their children blood and watch them die for the watchtower society?.
or would you see a quick change of doctrine?
ie: new light?.
GB Al Schroeder has a son, Judah, who is also a bethel heavy.
let's face it, it seems like a simplification of the df process as many of you have already mentioned.. within the 6 million or so jw worldwide, there has to be a good number of ppl that are on the fringes of being dfed.
in the past, it took time to technically df these ppl because of the no-shows at judicial hearings and appeals.
also dfing a person can be delayed when no actual proof can be provided of the sin committed.
I think it's too soon to say if there is or there is not a significant change.
The next Elder's school will answer some of these questions.

No one says there's proof minimus. I admit this is pure speculation. Come on, the book just came out YESTERDAY. What kind of proof can be generated in 24 hours? We ARE allowed to speculate on this board aren't we?
Besides, can you provide proof that there has been no change as you say? This is speculation on your part as well.
Why does everything have to be a black and white statement? Can't we just take a statement at face value and take it as food for thought and consider the possibilities instead of demanding proof of something?
You may be right, but then again I may be right. We can at least think about it and discuss.

This is a repeat of my post from another thread:
the details are told verbally at the next elder's school and are penciled into the margins. The way the policy is written, it can be taken in more than one way. We will need to wait and see what the specific implimentation will be.Exactly! We only have a general outline of what the change really is. I'm sure there are some MS or Elders on this board that will keep us up to date on the developments in the next MS/Elder's school.
would someone who has the new od book explain any changes in "keeping the congregation clean"?
is it still the same policy or have they actually changed anything?
i'd especially like to know if they are changing their tune on the "inactive".

I disagree with minimus in that there is no new policy on DFing. There clearly is a reason why the DF policy was specifically mentioned during the announcement of the book. Something has definitely changed. I guess time will tell exactly how it has changed but it does appear that it is easier to DF someone than in the past.
For a group that is hurting in numbers I dont know if that is such a smart move.

Also DFing a person can be delayed when no actual proof can be provided of the sin committed. Now that DFing can be done more unilaterally by the elders, the process has become streamlined.
I think you can expect a surge of disfellowshippings in the coming yrs because of this. There already has been a lack of growth even without this. The numbers will shrink even more. Do you think in their attempt to 'simplify' the process they have shot themselves in the foot?
