let's face it...most of us were or still are a part of this org.

because we felt a need to bring some meaning or purpose into our lives.. at the beginning there are lot of things that catch our attention, seem to make sense and feel ourselves progressing as individuals.. upon studying, meditating, pioneering, reaching out for privileges, etc.

(doing everything the society pushes).

New songbook? ...It's about time.

i saw this on another thread that there are rumours of a new songbook announced at the dc.

i hope they get rid of all those "heav'ns", "giv'n", "tho", "e'en", "vivacious", "efficacious" lyrics.

with thise lyrics you can party like it's 1899.. also, please get rid of that song that sounds like the warner bros. bugs bunny song.

VH1 MJ program - What will be the impact?

everyone is aware of the wt difficulty in retaining their young population.

the target audience for vh1 being of that same age demographic, it seems that this could be a bigger blow to the wts than it seems to appear at the present time.

take a look at the types of ppl this will have somewhat of an impact on:.

i remember there used to be an apostate group that would make their annual trek down to columbia hgts to protest with placards and bullhorns.. does this still go on?

is anyone here involved in that?

on the train yesterday on the way home from work, i saw someone sitting in front of me reading a km.

apparently a sister studying for the service mtng.

the funny thing was that i noticed that she was underlining every word in the article she was studying.

i've seen a few other ones but this one seems to be the most active.

by far the most interesting and diverse.. there's another one out there on e-watchman but found that one to be quite cheezy.

everyone overuses emoticons for some reason over there.

Manuscript style public talks because of littletoe?

i downloaded and heard the "da" talk by littletoe and man all i can say is that it reminded me of that phrase in that def leppard song "it's better to burn out, than to fade away!".

that was tremendous.

i read on another thread that this is the reason why the new public talk outlines are now more manuscript than before.

every time i've attended a dc in an indoor arena, i 've noticed a u.s. flag hanging on the rafters or somewhere prominently displayed.

of course it is a permanent fixture of the arena.

anyways, since national flags are symbols of idolatry.
