the society's new book 'organized to do jehovah's will', to be released in the congregations .
on the 20th of march, introduces a change in the df and da announcements.
announcements will read the same: "[name of person] is no longer one of jehovah's .
My view of the announcement is still that it amounts to slander. Who are they to say someone is not one of Jehovah's witnesses.
Jehovah is this god of the old testiment. Anyone who testifys for or about him is his witness. Does the WTS have a trademark on the name Jehovah? Witnesses? Therefore I'd take more exception to an announcement saying IPSec is no longer on of jehovah's witnesses than IPSec has been disfellowshipped from the christian congregation.

garybuss is funny as hell.
recently while at a witness gathering, i noticed that many "young ones" in their twenties and thirties are talking about buying or building a home.
buying or building a home is one of the most expensive commitments you could ever make.
in the usa, an average mortgage lasts 30 years.
Well we just kind of go from one emergency to the next now.

Where'm I gonna get my comments for the watchtower today w/o blondie? Dang I guess I better start coloring my magazine.
have you ever watched a movie where, when the monster jumps out, the woman grunts and the man screams?.
have you ever walked a forest trail where, when you accidently step on a big old slug, the woman says "cool!
" and the guy goes "icky-poo!!".
Does woobwoobwoob woob in Curley fashion count as a scream?
the ministry school features the #4 talk "why hypnotism is not for christians".

so I'm trying to avoid the new-wavy ilk because I just can't swallow it.
Ya they newage is a bunch of crap to wade through to get some bits of truth. Kinda like wading through the WT for a half truth here and there.
You might start with an english translation of the tantras and sutras as a basis. Altered states are based on brainwave frequencies (alpha, beta, theta) We experience these states everyday. Its just that for some reason the brain has a tendency to erase our memories of the beta and theta range which is why we have a hard time remembering dreams. The trick is allowing the body to go to sleep, but not allowing the subconscious to take over, but also by forcing the id and ego out of our consciousness during the meditative state.
So no I cant point you to any work in particular, just what I've pieced together from my own experience.
