hey friends.... ok. i'm not saying that i have the solution to the somalia piracy problem.

saturday's wall street journal had a whole article on this.. he's my solution.

debate me, add to it, or come up with your own solution.. but the problem seems to that "people" are obviously paying the ransom demands.. lets face it... you have $100 million in oil - pirates sieze the ship - and they ask for 10 million or they blow up the ship.

There really is only one fix.

Let raise the price of oil.

OPEC will then stop paying 'pirates' to 'seize' tankers. (less oil making it to refinery/higher price per barrel. Get it?)

When I was little we had these wooden chairs with these little wooden slats in the seat. There was just a bit of space between the slats and they moved. If you squirmed any in the chair it would pinch you on the butt.

usa today everyone has a gun, why?.....to protect themselves...from who?

other folks with guns!.....yes it's in your laws...but they were written when the british ruled you.

one school gun killing every week does not happen anywhere else in the world....maybe you need more guns to protect your kids.....one in the lunchbox.....does anyone else see this.

i'm just wondering if everyone has been holding back until the shopping season for christmas.

it was like everyone one was pent up waiting to shop.

(maybe paying off credit cards for months and worrying about the future).

I have yet to see this recession. All of the restraunts, bars, pubs and clubs are packed. Rush hour traffic still sucks with everyone going to work at the same time. New car sales are in a bit of a slump, but new houses are going up everywhere. I've never been better off financially in my whole life. Maybe its just where I live, I dunno.

If I were about to retire I'd prolly be a little worried right now. All in all though its thumbs up.
