If you are using a Mac, like me, remember to remove the 'tick' from "Check here to use HTML formatting" and add a 'tick' to "Automatic Cr/Lf".
To cut and paste, highlight the phrase you want (either right-click and hold across the phrase, or place the cursor at the start of hte phase and while holding down the 'shift' button, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to highlight your phrase) and then use the copy keyboard shortcut (For PC: 'ctrl' + the 'C' key For Mac: 'apple' key + the 'C' key) got to the place you want to insert the phrase and use the paste keyboard shortcut (For PC: 'ctrl' + the 'V' key For Mac: 'apple' key + the 'V' key). Alternatively these options are also under the 'Edit' menu.
If you are using a PC and Internet Explorer then you also have the option to use the forum's quote boxes, which, if I remember correctly, are located just after the subject box, and look like a speech bubble.

Justice-One has reached his post limit so can't respond on the forum, but has apologized for the 'communist' thing. So, let's just leave it at that.

Over eating yes, smoking no...why?
by Justice-One inwhy does the society hate smoking so much?
because it is "defiling" the body?
if that is the case, what about drinking coffee, or over-eating?

Justice-one, I couldn't agree more with your point. Obesity is one of the most preventable causes of death. When I see parents overfeeding their hugely-overweight kids on fat and soda, I feel like calling child services and reporting the abuse.
So yes, for all the reasons the WTB$ disfellowships people on the grounds of bodily abuse (smoking / drugs / TATOOS !!), it is laughable that they don't include obesity.

What an interesting post.
I do find it amusing when Americans refer to their two parties as Left and Right. They're not. They're Right and Righter. There are no liberals in power, and I can't think of any in contemporary history.
But alas, even if a democratic system sucks, there's no better 'working' system available. Look at the election just passed. The current administration has fowled up a bad situation into an increasingly, worse situation and the country let them know. The current administration knows that if they don't start making some serious changes, across the board then they will be booted out of office in two years time. It reminds me of eighties conservatism in the UK. After Thatcher politics, which failed, the right imploded and are only now starting to return.

Study Detects Recent Instance of Human Evolution
by zagor instudy detects recent instance of human evolution by nicholas wadea surprisingly recent instance of human evolution has been detected among the peoples of east africa.
it is the ability to digest milk in adulthood, conferred by genetic changes that occurred as recently as 3,000 years ago, a team of geneticists has found.. the finding is a striking example of a cultural practice the raising of dairy cattle feeding back into the human genome.
it also seems to be one of the first instances of convergent human evolution to be documented at the genetic level.

Working in IT
by Chameleon inhello.
if you work in it, what exactly do you do, and did you go to school for it?

I used to be.
I started at around 14ish with home computers. Ended up with my own development company writing games. Then I worked for an international IT company. Became a communications instructor. Then an independent consultant. The biggest project I had as a consultant was to design and installed a global infrastructure for a major airline.
After so many years in IT I got bored and decided to change careers.
I now co-own a film production company. Go Figure!

Legal Question
by Caveat infor our resident lawyers and those familiar with the law anywhere but specially on the us.
can a parent legally forbid a son from being baptized until he becomes an adult (legal age)?.
jws usually baptize their children when they are in their early teens, can an unbelieving parent do something legal to prevent this?.
