Have You personally heard of a JW "Disfellowshipped or DA" with the new DF

i was wondering if anybody out there have heard a jw disfellowshipped or disassociated under the new way they announce df/da "no longer one of jw" how did it sound?

how do other jw's know if a person left on their own or was forced out?

i forsee some future lawsuits because people are going to gossip and say alot of bad things about the person who might have just left on his or her own.

isn't being disfellowshipped or disassociated a voluntary thing, in one sense?

i mean, when a person is deemed by the judicial committee as truly repentant, there are less harsher disciplinary steps.

in cases where there is no remorse, yes, the committee has no choice.

As they say, shunning is to 'keep the organization clean'. If you are to invite opposing thoughts to propergate through the system, the system will eventually react and changes will have to be made. Disfellowshiping is the only way to maintain order and keep the rank and file.

However, this is always a temporary solution. Eventually the information gets out. TWO examples; the NGO farse, suppressed until the guardian newspaper published, then an immediet reaction causing many JW's to reconsider, and 1975, threaten the end of the world then saying everyone else made it up, many left. Ok, THREE things, the end of the world in 1929 came and went, and two thirds of the rank and file left. Ok FOUR things, the generation will not pass before the end of the world, the generation went - the world is still here - bring in the new light - many rank and file leave. Ok FIVE things, - ...you know, this is becoming a new thread, I think you get my gist.

The big problem now facing the watchtower publishing house is the easy access to an overwhelming amount of free and varifiable information. They will enforse a 'Don't look' policy, insinuating apostacy, however they also endorse meditating on the scripture which will mean research. That will be the end of wts autocrostacy and a new type of publishing house. IMHO.

when i was in a drugstore a couple of months ago, i saw the presiding overseer in the other aisle with his wife.

i saw them and made a conscious decision to leave.

what would you have done in a similar situation??

Hi Angry, and welcome.

Most people on this board are in one of three stages, either; very angry, was very angry , or about to get very angry, dicovering the truth behide the truth. We call it the 'kicking the puppy stage'. I'm ten years out of the organization, but have only recently discovered how it screwed my head / life up. The indoctrinations from infancy, only now am I facing.

Please feel free to express yourself here, it will help you. There are many differing views here on religion, as you will find out, however, the overwelming majority of people do have respect, and I'm confident you words will be received with respect.

ianone and others have been spreading their propaganda on this forum and elsewhere on the internet for quite some time that it was not commercial airliners but smaller planes, rockets, or detonations that brought down the world trade center and hit the pentagon.

but zacarias moussaoui disagrees with them.

My wife was close by and saw the planes hit, along with many other New Yorkers. If you want conspiracy theories, then I'd suggest choosing something that didn't involve hundreds of eyewitnesses.

How did you get over your silly fear of demons?

even now, i still battle with a silly fear of if something might have demons or not...i know it is silly, really, i do, but i haven't been able to get over it completely yet.

does anyone have any suggetions for me?
