  last week my ex husband sent a letter to the elders telling each and every one of them just what he felt about them.

  as they were d/f him he figured this was his last chance.

  in his letter he stated that as i had scriptural reason for divoce, so did he.

  When my hubby and I seperated I was the one who was going to D/A myself straight away, my ex wasnt. Now we are both out and my ex is D/F now. I nearly got another friend out but she must of felt guilty and decided that she was just having a "bad" day when she talked to me. Now she doesnt talk to me at all! IM A BAD ASSOCIATION :)

  So you were an elder once hey? My husband and I are divorced. We have been seperated nearly 3 years. Neither one of us cheated on each other we waited till we had finally decided this was it. And anyway I gave him reason for scriptual divorce before he had done anything, not that we really cared about that. We werent following the "truth" anymore so we didnt care if we had scriptual reason anyway.

  The Elders just think I wrote my D/A letter coz I was upset at my dad and so they have dismissed it. They dont understand that I dont go to meetings or anything because I dont believe in it, not that Im trying to get back at my dad. I dont know how much more clearer I have to make it to them.

  i have been fading for over 2 yrs and recently visited my folks.

  (see my first post at http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/81356/1.ashx ) i did tell them when i got there that i would not be attending any meetings.

  and they accepted it at the moment and didn't say much.

  hi Chrissie,

  I'm kinda in the same boat. I told my family im not interested anymore and if they were happy to accept that then I wouldnt send my D/A letter. They said they were ok with that, but a few weeks before that they had sent me a letter about getting D/F and they begged me not to leave them and they couldnt handle loosing me, but if thats what you decide we will follow the guidelines and not talk to you.......whose leaving who

  Thats exactly what my partner said amazing1914, that there only saying that to entice me to go.

  When I sent the D/A letter my father rang (elder) the day they got it, he was one of the main reasons why i sent the letter. I was currently very drunk but I remember him asking if he could destroy the letter, I said I need some time. So maybe thats what they have done just completely gotten rid of my D/A letter.

  There is no way that I am going, they can D/F me if they like.

  Hiding the xmas tree!

  has anyone else had to hide their xmas tree because their jw relatives can't pick up a phone?

  i literally had to have my hubby distract them so i could shove the damn thing in a closet!!

  everyone at some point in their lives has a movie moment, unfortunately for me, mine had to be a 3 stooges movie!!!!!

  Did you lie before getting married in the KH?

  as you know every young couple who is planning to get married in the kh are asked a question about "clean conduct" a week or two before the wedding.

  if you admit to have been fooling around to much you can forget about the kh and go and get married elsewhere.. i'm not married myself, but i was engaged to be married once and my soon-to-be father in law (an elder) recommended a certain elder to do the marriage stuff in the kh because he was a kind of easy on the mantadory questions.. fortunatly in never got that far because me and my girl split up about 2 months before the planned wedding, but i have been to a lot of kh weddings and i know for sure that some of the couples had to lie to cover up their conduct to get married in the hall.. but how common is this?.

  did you lie before getting maried in the kh, or do you know someone who did?.

  We were asked the question...... dont know if we lied but we did omit the fact we "fooled" around a little without actually doing the deed. My brother and his wife also baptized bro and sis were having sex for about 9 months before there wedding. She fell pregnant and instead of just admitting or tellin the elders to get stuffed she had an abortion.

  We wernt going to get the kingdom hall anyway because my father (elder) didnt like who I was marrying and so he said he wasnt coming and so the elders said we couldnt have the hall unless my dad came !!!!!!!!

  The thing is that a week before me ex sent his letter I sent my D/A letter, but its totally been dismissed.

  But the tone in this elders voice was more of a "lie to us we dont care we just dont want you to leave, kinda tone if you get me. They know I am seeing a non believer and planning to get married if they think ive stayed completely chaste then they must be naive.

  Hello all,

  Last week my ex husband sent a letter to the Elders telling each and every one of them just what he felt about them. As they were D/F him he figured this was his last chance. In his letter he stated that as I had scriptural reason for divoce, so did he. He was write and I knew he was writing this in his letter before he sent it. So needless to say the elders contacted me the day they received the letter and said that an accusation had been made against me and they would like to see me. I have been inactive for about 2 years now.This elder who i dont particularly like rang up and said "you know ive always treated you like my daughter and I love you dearly" ( mind you he never spoke to me at the meetings, he didnt even know my sons name until I became inactive) he said we need to see you just to hear from you what you have to say about the accusation and then he said "you can lie to me if you like, Im not going to know"

  I was so shocked, its like whats the use having to see them face to face if i can lie about it anyway
