If the WT were to "reform" would you stay or go back?
by confusedjw inthis thought has sprung from recent threads and speculation over the new book.
i know many who post here are still active jw's or ones who were df'd, but may have not totally left the belief system.
many have trouble with the methods and policies of the wt concerning dfing, restrictions, blood, local elders etc.

well, i didn't follow directions and i ended up snapping it right off the pipe....oops.
so, i took it back to the store and said..."i don't know what happened.

Who is really superior?
by mjl inhere?s question, we had a talk a few weeks about the "gifts in men," namely the elders.
they kept on saying how much more superior the congregation is over the elders, the elders in essence work for us and are our servants or slaves.
nice thought and all but if that?s the case why is there so much secrecy?

what kind of "persecution" did you undergo as a JW?
by what_Truth? ini'm not talking about the serious kind that occurs when elders start stalking you or government authorities that throw you in jail for not violating your religion.
i'm talking about those harmless yet bizzare little incidents that cause the po's wife to start shaking in her boots and say 'ohmygoodness we are being....persecuted!!!
in my old kingdom hall a guy ran in during a watchtower study and yelled "worship satan" before running out.

Yup - most of my persecution was from my fellow Dubs. Like, the several times I was pulled into the backroom by the elders because I had been accused of having sex with this or that person or stripping at this or that party. That's a laugh. Or, when the very wealthy family in the cong would deliberately choose an expensive place to go for the coffee break, knowing that my po' as dirt family would get (drumroll please) water. That was also fun. Or the time the other JW girls pulled down my pants at a party. But, I take solice in the fact that those losers are overweight, still live with they mommas, and will never get a man. (Which is saying something, because men are pretty freaking easy.)
