Strange Aussie Language...
by zeroday inso i'm out in california a while back visiting my father and sister.
my fathers 4th wife is from new zealand (no he's not a jw).
at the same time her son and wife are also visiting from new zealand and they have 2 children 6 and 9. well the wife is out in the back yard and me my sister and father are in the kitchen when the daughter in law comes running in saying, "i need a plaster, i need a plaster" i just thought "yea i need to get plastered too.

NZ is only an Island off of Australia in the same way that New Guinea is or Indonesia for that matter.
Hawaii is only an island off the US and it is us but I never knew what "BODDA YOU?" ment till I visited there.

No our fellow ANZACS are very different (and sound completely different - due to there being no vocalised vowel sounds in New Zealand - alroyt bro?
I don't know, the Brits, Aussies and NZ's all sound the same to me.

So I'm out in California a while back visiting my Father and Sister. My Fathers 4th wife is from New Zealand (no he's not a JW). At the same time her son and wife are also visiting from New Zealand and they have 2 children 6 and 9. Well the wife is out in the back yard and me my sister and father are in the kitchen when the daughter in law comes running in saying, "I need a plaster, I need a plaster" I just thought "yea I need to get plastered too." Not knowing what she wanted we just stood there looking dumbfounded when the NZ wife comes in and hears her plea and gets her a plaster.

Pink Floyd concert

Love Pink Floyd never been to one of their concerts. They have an older concert on DVD "Pulse" I hear is great I haven't gotten it yet. If you haven't heard their "Division Bell" album I strongly recommend it. Absoulutely great album. I drive truck for a living and am subject to random drug tests the only thing I have not been able to experience from my predub days.

One of them JW Funerals
by mbn36 ina couple of months ago i attended a funeral with my wife at the local kingdom hall for my uncle.
its the 1st funeral i've been to and 1st kingdom hall in 5 years.
i was a jw for 17 years and now i'm a chrisitan.

A couple of years ago we had an elderly sister (74) in our hall die. She pioneered up to her death. An absolutely beautiful person in all ways. The PO gave the memorial talk. He had known her for over 40 years, been in the same congo. You would think from that prospective he would give a very personal and touching talk about this person. He just went to his file cabinet and pulled out the official memorial talk. I was shocked, just like you he spent maybe 5 minutes on her life and the rest spewing out JW doctrine. I don't know why I should have been suprised.
