  i have been reading all of the feed back for saddler and the others.

  i too have been in a relationship with a jw for a little over a year.

  i love her very much but all the abuse i have taken over the pass year from her elders, uncles, grandfather...etc has really taken it's toll on me.

  my brother in law wants to know::: if jw's don't have the truth then where do you go to worship?

  if i had something better then he would follow?

  i know i have heard this before from jw's but couldn't find the thread to answer him correctly.

  Thank you all for the information and I will let you know how I do when he asks me again. I don't bring it up but he can't stand the fact that I am happy and feel good now that I don't go to the hall anymore.

  My Brother in Law wants to know::: If JW's don't have the truth then where do you go to worship? If I had something better then he would follow? I know I have heard this before from JW's but couldn't find the thread to answer him correctly. He said he feels safe at the hall and why would he leave to go to nothing. I said a few things but nothing that really brought the point home that I wanted to make.

  Any suggestions on how to approach this in a logical manner?

  so this month (march) i promised my mother that i would auxillary pioneer with her.

  {that's 50 hours in field service, fyi}.

  i was supposed to turn in my application tonight, but alas, i forgot it.

  I was one of those mother's that freaked when I found out that my kids didn't want the "truth" They helped me to see what was really going on in the world and now I am free of it all.

  So don't give up on your Mother. Let it all sink in and don't hide your feelings. I know one thing I wasn't about to give my kids up for ANYONE OR ANYTHING. What kept running through my mind was that Jehovah gave these children to me as a gift from him.... now they do things wrong and I am supposed to throw them away?????? I wasn't about to give up on my family. Hang in there kid your doing the right thing. Just don't be fresh if you want to get your point across. What impressed my husband and I was the fact that our son was calm and logical about his decisions about religion. It impressed us enough for us to take a look at what we were thinking after 30 years in the org.

  Pull them out of the trash and get yourself a red marker. Start correcting the articles like a teacher would on a paper. The grade the mag and send it back!

  is it true that jw's are going to seek out inactive ones and if they are not willing to go back to the kingdom hall that they will be disfellowshipped?

  Does anyone think that perhaps there is a letter to elders on the poor people that have faded away? Do you really think that the local elders are going to go back to witch hunts to find inactive ones? It seems to me that there has to be something else written than what is in the new book. I don't see much of a change in the book. Policy seems to be much of the same. If the society is giving out this instruction then someone must have information about it.
