We just recently moved and my oldest son (9) is adjusting well, so far. There are lots of kids on the street and they are always outside playing soccer and basketball. I've noticed that he is having trouble with a couple of the boys....they are all very close in age...9 10 and 11. ..2 of the boys have been making him feel bad, i.e. saying outloud "what is HE doing here" and "come on, don't you know how to kick it straight". Before we moved he spent alot of time playing legos with friends but the boys here are more sports oriented. So he doesn't have much experiance with soccer and i did sign him up for the soccer team (per his request). So, 1 boy is nice to him but the other 2 pick on him. I'm trying to help build up his self esteem so that the other boys will not have a need to pick on him......( i think they feed off the fact that he does look very hurt when these thing are said). Has anyone been through this stuff.....help please with some suggestions.

Disfellowshipping smokers is an outrage!
by yaddayadda inhow does the society scripturally justify taking the ultra-harsh measure of disfellowshipping and shunning persons who merely enjoy smoking a few cigarettes a day?
in what way is mild smoking a gross sin that is deserving of such a harsh punishment?
how on earth does the society make the connection between the scriptural exhortation to 'cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit' (2 cor 7:1 & 2) to taking the extremely harsh measure of denying a smoker the right to any contact with their fellow congregation members, friends, and jw family?

My sis-n-laws mom drinks nothing but diet pepsi ....and i mean nothing...no water......at all.....she is very overweight....(disagreeable to, but thats beside the point) Anyway my point is....they have no problem with the fact that she cares so little about her overall health but they care if someone smokes.....I honestly believe its bad for your health as bad as overeating or eating nothing but mcDonalds.(hahahaha)....but thats also just my opinion....I don't treat anyone differently if thats what they choose because its their choice not mine....... But the society chooses one over the other.......probably because smoking was the easier one to pick on....not sure......they don't have the right ....

METH. It is every where and like a plague

There are meth labs in peoples homes up here in N cali. These are people with kids...just have the chemicals in you house used to make the stuff will slowly kill you and your kids......It is just so sad to me that people can do this to there families. Graocery stores up here have to keep tabs on how much stuff they sell to one person that is used in making of meth....yuk......so sad...I feel for all those inocent children out there.

I had a very hard time fitting in. i had one good friend that was about as crazy as I was. I was more the outcast of the cong. my parents homeschooled me so i had no socal life beyong the KH. I liked to dye my hair....alot....and i pierced my ears myself ...which i got in trouble for.....Lets just say...people in the hall thought I was wierd and stayed away while talking behind my back. Then after I got married....my husband(JW) got into drugs and everyone still talked about me behind my back.....I don't think they ever stopped.

There was a nice big puddle in front of the fridge....and of course when I face my 2 and 3 year old to ask who did it....what do they say.."but mom, I didn't do nothing"
Ahhh kids...gotta love them
