My Beliefs on Spirtualism

it was suggested by someone to share my beliefs on spirtualism ever since i left the jw i no longer believe what the bible says.

however i don't do things like the occult or use a ouija board.

from the age of 11 i was interested in spiritualism through my brother who practiced out of body experiences, a lot of people have to see it to belive it really as many religions like the jehovah's witnesses says it is all work of satan aka lucifer, fraud or hoax.

I have for some time (although having different beliefs) attended the Spiritualist church and quite enjoy my time there. I have nothing against spiritualism at all and its great you have found an alternative. What struck me as a little odd though is that you suggested you didnt practice the Occult!?
Divination (in particular the Tarot); Communion with Spirit; Psychic Development; Aura Reading are all occult and or esoteric - if you practice any of these things you are practicing the Occult!
Dont get me wrong, I am not criticising and I certainly have no problem with the Occult (being a practicing Druid) but lets call it what it is, theres no need to be ashamed.

Coincidences or synchronicity

Carl G Jung had a number of theories in relation to synchronicity and I personally have experienced this phenomena too in a number of areas - primarily with respects to my spirituality.

Ever notice how when you get a new car you start seeing ones that look just like yours everywhere?
IPSEC: Yeah I know exactly what you mean - in Psychology the term for this called subjective abstraction (I think). For instance since Dawn (Sirona) has been pregnant I have seen more pregnant women out and about than I ever had. Its your mind (subconciously) looking for similarities. Gary

Yeah definately - we have a 5 minute DVD too which I will no doubt be showing to any prospective boyfriend in the future (providing of course I let them through the door! ).

demons, spirit creatures

do any believe that we are infulenced by these creatures.

the wts would give talkes about the demons saying, do not talk out loud about things that bother you.

they will know your weakness but they are not able to read your mind.

I'm studying Wicca and it has absolutely nothing to do with demons, the devil, or negative energies (unless you are conjuring up positive energies to counter the negative attitudes of yourself or others).
Its refreshing to see more fellow pagans!
How are your studies coming along - are you part of a coven or do you practice solitary?

PS: My partner Sirona also is pagan and was for about 2/3 years part of a Coven - no doubt you can share experiences.
