without going into the details here i’ve had a renewed call to take direct action and preparing to protest at a convention very soon.. where could i find the figures paid out by the wts to survivors of abuse in their organisation?

Nisan 14 When?

as i understood it jws celebrate (i use the term 'celebrate' loosely) the memorial of christs death on nisan 14. this year nisan 14 fell on monday 25th march 2013 and not tuesday 26th march 2013 (which was the day of their memorial).

all of my jewish friends were celebrating their passover meal on monday 25th - is this another one of those moments where the borg has it right and the whole of the jewish population of the uk (including learned rabbi) has it wrong?

what is the rationale behind them being a day late?

Welcome Baby Meadow Joanne

today (29th august 2008) at 5.22pm baby meadow arrived weighing 6lb 7oz; she was born at home in a birthing pool without any medical interventions other than gas and air; both mother and baby are well (although dawn is well and truly exhausted from a 12 hour birthing).

i am immensely proud of them both.

today my world was made complete!.

it has no real legal implications for jws but it did provide me with a chuckle.

Sirona & DB74 are having a Baby!

for those that know us and that have been following our jwd love story...we cannot contain the news any longer, we have known now for over two weeks but wanted to wait until we had the last early pregnancy scan to confirm everything was ok. .

today we witnessed a miracle in the making and the ultimate in creativity - the scan confirmed a strong heartbeat and considerable growth since the last scan a fortnight ago.. we are going to be parents .

Radical Apostasy v Liberal Apostasy

in the wake of the 'dannygate' issue it made me think about the impact of apostasy and it various forms and on some level how it equates to the feminist movement and its development over the years.. initially, the radical feminist movement were and are the typical man hating, bra burning cross section who undoubtedly moved womens rights foward significantly and to some degree still do.

without the radical feminist movement, the likelihood of the liberal and more balanced feminist movements ever existing would have been uncertain if not improbable.

so indirectly the feminist movement owes a lot to those radicals who were out there burning bra's and linching men (i was joking about the last bit).
