my cat died around five or six years ago. in fact, we had to euthanize her because she had been hurt by a car and it was the only solution. i didn't tell her goodbye, as everything happened so fast while i wasn't at home. it was difficult of course, but with the time... i've passed through! sorry for yours... i think you took the right decision!

i've never been JW but my best friend is. she's got two older brothers who don't go to the meetings anymore. but their mother still visits them. she has accepted the fact that they don't beleive in the same things. parents don't always shun their children. according to you, what type of parents are yours? do you think they'll shun you or not? maybe their love for you will be stronger than their believers... the way your father answered you would makes me fell this way... have you ever try to talk about that together or never? good luck, and take care!

Were the doors locked at your KH, during meetings?
by JH ini remember a time when the brothers locked the doors during a meeting.
if you arrived late, they had to come and unlock the door to let you in.
i also remember a time when they weren't locked.

i've only been once at the meeting for the memorial, and i don't think the doors were locked if they had been, i would have feel even more anxious!!!) . but what made me feel ill at ease, was the elders walking around us all meeting long, like if they were checking if we were attentive enough...
