  Friends of the opposite sex

  do you think its ok to have really close friends of the opposite sex if you are married or involved with someone?

  any one in that situation where your partner is jealous?

  I have always had friends of the opposite sex, I seem to get along better with men than women sometimes. As to wether it's ok to have a close friendship with the opposite sex would depend on how close you and that friend are, if you know what I mean. Dragonlady76

  Fighting experience?

  the other night our son confessed that he had been in an after-school fight last friday.

  some small kid was irritated with my son (who's nearly 14) and called on the services of a big friend to beat up my son.

  (i actually saw the fight (sort of) as i drove past the school that day to go do errands, and pondered on whether i should stop... i didn't... because i actually wasn't sure it was a fight; it was a lot of kids in a loose crowd).

  As a female and a JW I was taught to avoid fights, but I was a little hot tempered and I didn't take insults to well so I did on occasion have some fights with other girls. I got beat a couple of times, nothing bad as I always fought hard and never let a girl really hurt me. It was stressful though to always be on guard, kids tend to pick on you if they find a weakness. I would let your son's school principle know that another boy recruited the bigger kid to beatup your son, he needs to be punished.

  I live in a large city with a diverse culture and sevreral libraries and CoC is not a book they carry. Try Ebay or Barnes&Nobel.

  did any of you people notice the earthquake in indonesia two days ago?

  well it didn't cause any tsunami but it was quite heavy (8.somthin).

  anyway, i realized that this earthquake came the day after easter, like the tsunami came the day after xmas.

  I would have to agree that's a very interesting coincidence, I am sure the "worldy" christians are speculating though. Anyways JW's don't celebrate or give special meaning to Easter or Christmas.
