ohhh, love the idea of a vegetarian drive-thru. What a rockin' idea!!! I don't know how many times I've wanted a drivethru that offers healthy alternatives (not just lettuce bluhhh).
I own a photography business, had a studio, hated it, now work strickly on-location and it is the best life I could ever imagine. I wouldn't choose to do anything else, no matter how much money I made.

See, that is what I'm concerned about. I know there are a lot places that do safe things, but I'm more concerned about my children being exposed to others who have blood dripping from their neck, etc. I KNOW my dd already has problems with the boogie man and often wakes up with nightmares. She has a very vivid imagination. I can only imagine what this would do to her.

Ask my JW husband how I feel about this, he could write a book about my experiences and resulting emotions.
Yes, I felt inferior, but I was raised in that crap by a very Bible-wielding JW father who liked to throw sexist scriptures at my mom like they were javalines. From a young age, within the congregation, I would see humans being forced to keep silent because of their lack of a penis. I would see them forced to wear clothing so as not to incite feelings by those w/a penis. I saw them told to tolerate beatings and degradation because those w/penises might learn to love a group of individuals with penises if they just put up with the pain, it was worth it (at least according to those same penis possessing people).
How could I, or any other female not feel devalued?

Am I the only one with small children who are concerned about scaring your kids, giving them nightmares. I could care less about the JW mentality, I just worry about my 4 and 5 yr old being tramatized by the blood and gore that night.

Loved The Awakenings by Kate Chopin. It is the perfect story for a woman who is coming out of a controlling situation, realizing that they can be themselves. Just picked up Uncle Tom's Cabin. Have read about it, but have never actually read it. There are way too many books to mention, but these are the most recent. Trista

You've summed up the rotten gut feeling I have everytime I read the Bible. It is so violent, yet God wants people to live peacefully, unless he tells his servants to act out his will? Something is seriously wrong with this reasoning folks. The leaders today claim to have God's backing (many of the gods anyway). Sorry, that reasoning just doesn't hold water for me. At least with entertainment it is just for that purpose. It isn't trying to teach us how to live. Read the Hebrew scriptures and LEARN how to live, learn how to screw more than one woman if you believe God has said it is okay, learn how to kill because God says so, etc, etc...
