For me, I've lost the judgmental attitude toward others and therefore learned humility. I used to feel like I was on a high horse looking down at all the soon-to-be destroyed worldlies and it was my job to try and convince them how wrong they were. There was this black and white attitude, gray need not apply. Having stepped away from that constant propaganda and joining other groups where we were actually HELPING others instead of judging them changed me very easily and really humbled me.

Is anyone watching PrimeTime?...

the way that community treats her and hides from the media reminds me of how jws respond to dfed and the media.
it is very hard to watch because i can easily replace a couple words and see a jw man or woman defending their lifestyle.

by whyizit inif you could rent a bill board where you knew jehovah's witnesses would see it, what would you put on it to try to effectively reach them?
and don't forget that lots of other people would see it to.
maybe the regular joe would be able to develope some good questions from your ad too.

You guys are great! I love u/d's the best. I think if you could get them to think about anything, it would be best to direct them to something their own leaders have put in print. Obviously, this is the most damaging thing to the WTS as seen by Quotes' site. They know that interested ones will be warned about apostates, as are the r/f, but when something they said (and the more recent the better) is shown to be dangerous, what can they do??

Circuit Ass last weekend

See this exactly what my JW husband fails to see. It was like the dark ages when very few people were able to read and even if they were, it was forbidden to read the Bible or other materials. They, of course, would do what they were told. They didn't know how to use their brains and even if they did, there was nothing they could fill it with. Today, we have the internet and JWs can no longer hide the truth about how they run things. Young people are also going to college for the first time (via the early 90's a-ok) so they are learning how to THINK. What else would the borg expect?? "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

I am hurt, my wife had a miscarriage and still my family didn't contact me
by jwfacts intwo weeks ago my wife had a miscarriage at 11 weeks.
it is very sad as it was to be my first child and my wife is already 39. what hurt the most though is that none of my immediate family contacted me.
i was d/f in january and did not expect to hear regularly from my parents and sister.

I am so very sorry for your lose. I experienced a miscarriage as well and the pain is excrutiating. My heart goes out to you and your wife.
I never fails to amaze me how willingly people give up their consciences to a controlling power. You always hear people say how they can't believe that Hitler could make all those Germans torture their fellow man. Then you look at a situation like this and it is no different. Just like the Germans, they believe they are following God's will, no matter how much it conflicts with their gutteral reaction. They've shut off their emotional spiget. As a child, I was not popular. I believe it stemmed from my familes standing. My parents were very abusive toward my sisters and I. That scared most of the congregation and therefore they stayed far away from us. When I became an adult, I made it my goal to be "popular." For a short time I was in ther inner circle. I realized that the inner circle was scary crap. Then it hit me that these people were the leaders of the org. We (husband and I) left the inner circle on our own accord and tried to stay unattached from what we saw. Finally, we both faded away. Dh has gone back and I will never set foot in a KH again.

And yes, I do think that some people aren't meant to be JWs. Those who actually use critical thinking, those who prefer to live their own lives, and those who have a strong sense of self won't last long. I often think back and wonder if Jehovah saw that spirit in me and therefore deserted me. Then I realize that JW thinking still creeps back into my head and seeks to guilt me into coming back. Scary crap!

I have a personal trainer that comes to my home two days a week. I also walk 45 minutes a day for 3 additional days.
I am not crazy about diets. They are the reason I've gained so much weight. I just try to listen to my body and make wise food choices.

I'm working backwards. I have a successful professional business but because I wasn't allowed the opportunity to attend college as a young person, I am pursuing it now. I also feel it is important so that I can avoid being a hypocrite with my children when it comes time for them to attend college. It will probably take me that long to get my degree, but as long as I keep on working at it, that is what matters. I'm currently taking two online classes as this is my slower season (work-wise), but will only be taking one otherwise.
