  Anyone ever fake ring the doorbell when going door to door?

  when i used to pioneer i would press to the side of the doorbell and act like i pressed it and then say "oh i think the bell must be broken".

  ok i'm sure this has been talked to death... but since we have a thread saying we're missing a good debate here we go..... when the bible meant something to me way back when .....even then i pondered.... god starts off as this vengeful being..."listen to me or i'll lay your soul to waste".

  And who is "her", dear NS (again, peace to you!), such that killing her "children" is an unloving act?

  Doesn’t matter what she is. It could be my worst enemy, but killing children is not very loving. If you think that it is then I can’t argue with that.

  And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

  Again, where is the unloving part, here? "Who" or what constitutes that "fourth part" of the earth?

  Unloving parts: Kill, hunger, & death. Again, do you wish that upon your worst enemy? If you do I can’t argue with that.

  Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

  Again, it doesn’t matter to me who she is. Death, mourning, and famine is not a loving thing.

  heard an interesting story today of a little old lady in her nineties.

  the poor old dear had been in hospitial very poorly for a few months but as soon as she was discharged, even though she was still very weak,.

  she told her daughter "i must go to church on sunday".

  Charlie Brown,

  You should ask those people that believe God is more loving in the New Testament if they have read the book of Revelations. Seems to me it's the same God.

  i'm planning to get back into therapy to deal with my self-esteem issues, and to stay the heck away from emotionally abusive women.

  which, given my apparent magnetism to them, logically means all women by extension, as i can't seem to see the train until it's two feet in front of me.

  I've been through a hard break up before. This is the advice I give you:

  Get hobbies, try take up a class on something you like. Stay healthy by eating right and exercise. Keep your place really clean all the time. Keep your mind busy on other things, go buy a book!
