Avishai- We must have grown up in the same part of Oregon cause I can remember more than once working the rural areas and having people meet you "cleaning their gun". I grew up in one of the biggest pot growing areas ever, made for an interesting time. Lots of mean dogs and "No Tresspassing" signs. I can remember lots of times my Dad booking it off a property as fast as an old Dodge van could travel on washboard.

by GetBusyLiving inwhen i was about 10 years old me and my service partner called on a guy that came to the door with a shotgun.
he just said in the most deadpan voice you can ever imagine: ""if you don't get off my doorstep within the next 30 seconds im going to have to use this.
" that was some scary shit.. we bolted.

I LOVED this movie! My whole family enjoyed it on very different levels which I think said alot for this flick.
Edna Mode... ROCKS, definately my favorite character and the extra "Jack Jack Attack" was very funny.
There was an extra short included though that was very weird, a "lost" superheros cartoon reminiscent of old 70's cartoons. Very bizarre. My hubby and I just watched with our mouths open. Makes more sense if you watch it with the "commentary" on.

Would'nt it be great if they had to read our letters outloud to the cong...
by ButtLight injust reading a few of the da'd letters, it would just be so cool if they had to read them out loud when they announced it!!!!!!!
can you imagine what the reaction would be?

heh, somehow I get the feeling most letters would sound like a rap song playing on the radio.
"and the *bleep*ing elders can go *bleep* and *bleep* and *bleep*. I could give a *bleep* what you all *bleep* think. *bleep* you."

"No good deed remains unpunished"
I think the WTS has perfected that application.

What are they remembering ?
by A Paduan inat the memorial - what is it that they are remembering ?

I think they're remembering that they need to keep enrollment up if they want to keep their pocketbooks lined.
It's all just a glorified recruiting event.

Arrowstar- Isn't it amazing how times that we are most down on our luck are also times that we can feel most blessed? What an awesome group of people this is!
I'm a big fan of the "Pay it Forward" concept. Repay a good deed by helping someone else when you are able... keep the chain of kindness going.

It just cracks me up that they actually say "FREE home bible study". Like they usually charge or something. It sounds like such a gimmick.
"For $19.99 you can have your very own home bible study... that's right Mark, and if you act now we'll throw in these lovely steak knives!"

This is just pure speculation but I have to wonder if your parents are harboring some doubts of their own? Between what your mother said and your father asking if there was anything you wanted to talk about it makes me suspicious.
Have you ever gotten that feeling from them?
Not that I think you should come out and ask... In the interest of keeping things smooth I think you're on the right track. And If they do have doubts it'll come out in the wash eventually anyways.

Unless my count is wrong the word "love" appears ten times in this article....
Such brainwashing, if they say it enough times people start to believe it.
