What Should Be DONE about it!

for a hypothetical place to start, let's assume it was an arab group in support of the palestinian movement.. this is however pure speculation as there is no proof whatsoever to indicate such.. lets begin by removing the idea of right and wrong, that is simply a subjective thing.

each of us always thinks that ourselves and our country is right and the others are wrong.. is it wrong to kill 5 or 10 thousand people to repay for the lives of their own countrymen and to attempt to regain their own country back which was robbed from them?

i personally think so, but that is my subjective opinion.. also, we have to remove from our minds the idea of 'civilian' vs 'military' target.

Lets begin by removing the idea of right and wrong, that is simply a subjective thing. Each of us always thinks that ourselves and our country is right and the others are wrong.

Is it wrong to kill 5 or 10 thousand people to repay for the lives of their own countrymen and to attempt to regain their own country back which was robbed from them? I personally think so, but that is my subjective opinion.

Also, we have to remove from our minds the idea of 'civilian' vs 'military' target. No one is a true civilian because they mostly support their peoples ideals. Many Palestinian 'civilians' think it the right thing to do to hide bombs and terrorists in their own homes and to train their children to fight and die for their cause. Thus no distinction is able to be made between civilian and non-civilian. Any innocent people in this case are unfortunate 'collateral' damage.

This being said, the obvious answer is to completely obliterate the threat! No questions asked! Neutron bombs or something similar that will not leave a radioactive wasteland are preferred.

Nothing of the enemy should remain.

This would serve two purposes. First it would eliminate an immediate threat and second it will serve as a warning to others that such behaviour will not be tolerated.

No sympathy or empathy should be considered and no helping out survivors should be entertained. To serve as an effective preventative and warning the destruction should be complete.

Unless of course humanity is ready to take the next step towards growth, but that is highly unlikely.

Americans and Terrorism

this terrorist attack has been a long time in coming!.

the us has for a long time prided itself on being virtually terrorist proof and it has made concerted efforts to bring various islamic groups onside in the past 10 years.. however, it is also obvious that because the us has the supremacy in military hardware that terrorism is the only recourse that many countries feel able to follow if they feel repressed or attacked by the us.. us hegemony is global and is objected to by many countries and in many instances it keeps smaller nations and their people in poverty.. also, religion plays no small part in these events because the us is by and large seen as an immoral country from a strict religious position.. what has happened in the us today and may even happen in my own country (we are a us ally) is in actuality not a lot compared to many hundreds of thousands who have died in less media covered events.

this of course does not lessen its impact, but at the same time in ladonnas post on love, it shows that many times from our point of view we feel that we are hard done by only to discover that many others are far worse off than us.. my thoughts and bew's too go out to all those injured and the families of those killed, it is indeed a very sad day in the usa.. on an even sadder note, i noticed that although our prime minister, john howard was over there, they failed to get him.

From YOUR point of view only. My post was not an America bashing one, just one to bring out the whole dimension of the event rather than a narrow one which obviously you cannot see beyond.

At some stage in your life, you might try to see a little more than what is in front of your nose.

As the news spreads and information comes to hand, it is apparent that this was a concerted effort that required a great deal of money and planning as well as sincere devotion to the plan (suicide agents). This being the case, it will be easy to blame certain countries quickly and unfortunately without proof.

It is disgusting that the Palestinians were dancing in the street, but of what percentage of the Palestinian or other Arab state populations do these ones represent. The last thing that needs to be done is to have a bigoted and carte blanche approach in attitude. I am sure than many Arabic people and Palestinians were killed innocently in the slaughter.

This is a crime against 'people' and not a country as is all crimes similar in nature. The only hope is that one day, as a race of beings, we grow up!

women admit to regular lies .

nearly one in four british women would try to conceive without their partner's consent if they wanted a baby, research suggests.

a survey by women's magazine that's life!, found that many women are prepared to lie about almost any aspect of their life.

It would appear to me that that was a description of general human behaviour, not just female.

Even if a similar survey revealed different numbers for the male of the species, I would hazard a guess that they were just not admitting it or that the right questions were not being asked.

As a man, I still hold the thought, "what would we do without them"

No more hiding!!!

well, here is my real picture.. i have decided to stop hiding and show my real face.. i hid behind an artificial facade (data) for a long time, fearful of facing the consequences of deciding that my former beliefs were incorrect.. i made the concrete decision in march of this year that jehovahs witnesses do not have the truth and in fact that they were totally wrong.. however, since i have been inactive for 5 years and i do have some people that i care about still in the organization, i decided that i would not reveal who i was so that i did not lose my friends and family.. however, i have now decided to be who i am and my change in my picture icon represents that change.

the consequences are still the same, and i am likely to lose most if not all of my borg friends, but that is the consequence of my decision.. no more hiding for me .

well, here is my real picture.. i have decided to stop hiding and show my real face.. i hid behind an artificial facade (data) for a long time, fearful of facing the consequences of deciding that my former beliefs were incorrect.. i made the concrete decision in march of this year that jehovahs witnesses do not have the truth and in fact that they were totally wrong.. however, since i have been inactive for 5 years and i do have some people that i care about still in the organization, i decided that i would not reveal who i was so that i did not lose my friends and family.. however, i have now decided to be who i am and my change in my picture icon represents that change.

Judgmentalism

people are judgmental, this is a fact.. in fact it is a human quality that allows people to grow and become better throughout there lives.

we judge what happens and log it away for future use.

often times these things are so subconscious that an automatic trigger forms and we simply react to a new situation based upon something inside which tells us what is happening.. if we get burned by a hotplate, then forever we judge hotplates to be at least somewhat of a danger to our skin.
