Is this Completely Apostate

i just happened on this place a few days ago, and thought i would stop in to see what it was all about.

it claims to be a jehovah's witness forum, which it is not.. dont want to come here and point fingers, as i am sure there are some good people in here, just seems the bad have followed the good.

i guess in reality thats always the case, but hey, what else would these people do if they couldn't wage their little war on the truth.

Thank you for exposing your thoughts to us. It is interesting to note some generalisations that you make. And it is also interesting that you feel compelled to remain here against your better judgment. I welcome that you stay here and communicate with us and I hope that you can see here something of value.

Many of the people in this forum are those whose lifestyles I would not accept for myself, but it is not my place nor yours to judge them.

There are many points that indicate to me that the WTS is incorrect and more closely related to the sect of the Pharisees than Christ's followers.

Enjoy your stay and please feel welcome to stick around a littel longer.

when i think back to being in the wtbts i can vividly remember the elders and their weilding of power.. as an adult, and in hindsight, i can now look back in total distaste and disgust at the power and control these men exercised over our lives with 'apparent' enjoyment.. i would like any former or current elders to explain the actual feelings you had when exercising this control.. was it exhilirating?

or was it painful?.

i would also like responses from non elders as to how you actually felt on the other end of this control situation.. la donna ana

What do I personally feel?? Well, I think that I am the head of the house and that my word is law. The only difficulty that I have is convincing BEW of that.

No, there are very few problems or decisions that cannot be made by mutual discussion. When one of those arise, one of us will acquiesce but there is no single one that is "appointed" as "boss". BEW is a very intelligent woman and her excellent handling of so many things has proven to me that more often than not, I am served by agreeing with her point of view. And I think that the reverse is also probably true, but that would need to be said by BEW herself.

Actually, a saying that I use not infrequently is "my species often lets me down" in other words, especially in the treatment of our partners, men all too often fail to appreciate women, their thoughts and feelings. This is a generalisation and as such it is not aimed at individuals nor am I laying accusations.

when i first started to look into the teachings of jesus, i went out and bought a couple of books to help me.

i bought a bible dictionary, and a bible commentary.

when i looked up " pharisees" in my bible dictionary, it said "see jewish parties".

I think the majority of men in that position enjoy it at least to some degree. It seems to be a bit of a testoserone thing. Having said that, there are probably as many different feelings that they have as there are elders.

Where it really seems to get out of hand is at judicial commities. Reports from those involved indicate that some of them have feelings ranging from sadness to despotism to titilation.

One of the worst things about this is that these men have no training whatsoever as to the way people think. They are set up as judges over people with a pathetic ambiguous book as their guide. As a whole they seem unable to comprehend the fears and guilts and doubts of those that come before them and are often oblivious to it all.

But then again, such is the history of mankind, so there really is nothing new going on there.

Welcome to the board!! Rebellion eh, I like that in a person.

Peronally, most of the elders that I know twist and squirm when asked the question. Obviously it is a point that engenders doubt in many and the various explainations are used to dispel the doubt.

Johnny raises his hand at the back of the class.

But the teacher knows he's a trouble maker and that he doesn't know the answer, so she
calls on Jim.

Jim replies, "Due to the weather, school was canceled indefinitely."

"Good" the teacher replies. "What about you Jenny?"

Jenny says, "Since the bus broke down, transportation has been stopped indefinitely."

The teacher then says that the sentence was too much like the other one, and asks if
anyone can use it in a different way. So there's Little Johnny waving his hand again. And

Why did Jesus not start his ministry till 30?

i have often wondered this.

his sole purpose in coming to earth was to make disciples and the sacrifice.

he knew this.. so why did he wait till 30 yrs of age to dedicate himself to his father?

A woman's husband was watching a football game and she was bored. So she went outside and decided to pick up trash in the yard. After a
