I'm Mostly a lurker so far (sounds so sinister..lol like a peeping Tommy) I post on an AOL Debate board and often we have a room open afternoon/evenings on Paltalk geared towards Discussion or support for ex-JW's. I work for a Vet but am taking some time off for R&R as it's been a few years so I doubt I will be doing anything productive as far as physical extersion or housework. Might as well sit and get a healthy case of chat butt. It's not like I haven't suffered with it for years already. lol
I enjoy reading the posts here and they are very informative!

Actually it was one of the more grasping excuses since the Dateline expose concerned those that were long term JW's and Elders. They don't seem to grasp that pedophilia isn't just something that warrents a slap on the wrist and it goes away.

(Other then just a few of the JW's on that AOL board) they are crying persecution and even comparing their trials to Christ on the Cross.
I think I've seen everything now! I am thinking of putting together a David Lettermen type Top 10 List of Excuses the JW's use to clear Watchtower .. or something to that effect I have too many competing for the top spot so it's hard to choose. The old tried and true one "those who were caught molesting were not real JW's" That's always a favorite to use.Today it has jumped over the persecution Dateline to an all out conspiracy and the internet it out to get them. (Run Forrest Run!)

That could be one reason.
I have a theory, and if I were a betting person....Since the internet has become popular and so widely used, the apostate-JW's worldwide have begun a hate campaign that is unrivaled in their traitorous history.
The internet has served them well and enabled them to be way more organized than ever before.
Of what surprise then is it, if the most popular and handiest reason to hate any religion or anyone pops up and then is liberally applied to our faith; that latest reason for hate being child abuse.Public opinion will always be hot concerning issues like child abuse, just as it is in issues of abortion and other moral and ethical questions.

They just can't put down the kleenex's long enough to look at how foolish they sound! It never ceases to amaze me that no matter what it is, they always try to turn it around and make it all about them without the slightest regard to the victims.

I agree .. his credentials and employment history fail to show a strong suit as an expert in Sociology. He isn't a professor now and according to the Bio hasn't been for a long time. They are really scraping the bottom of the mental food chain to dig up some support.~Bugs
