"Damn, she sounds happy"
Gee, I hope that's what she thought. I AM Happy...but I did try to make it really obvious too.

I'm sure you are 100% on.
However all she got from our conversation was that we are happy, life is good. Probably the best thing I could have sent her away with..... There IS life after this religion and AFTER loosing their friendship.
i guess this is kind of a fun topic.
who was the weirdest person in your congregation or kingdom hall?
without naming names, who was the person that was the most creepy, eccentric, or "out in left field"?
We had a "disturbed" sister in our hall that claimed ( insisted) her cousin was Shania Twain ???!! . She would sit at meetings & literally have "staring contests" with people. It got pretty annoying, she'd just space out and would hold the stare for minutes at a time. You could stare back all you wanted, it was like she was looking through you, and wouldn't stop.
The worst part was she wasn't very subtle, she'd turn ALL the way around ( of course she'd always sit in the front of the hall) and stare. So WEIRD.
She reminded me of a prominent elders wife though....maybe THEY are really cousins?!?
Changed my mind about posting this....sorry!
sure we got to know a lot of people, we knew a lot more people then the average person, but how many real friends did we ever have?
a friend that we could trust, that we could confine in.
i can say i had just one, bro x and even then i still had to be careful, bro x is an elder now and he tells me that im the only real friend hes ever had, he cant freely talk to anyone.
I used to think I had many REAL friends in the congregation.... but the friends that are left, are either family, or have also left the cult! Not a huge loss, when I think about it.
what do you associate that name with??
what's the first thing that pops in your head?
HIDE!!!!!!!
Mind Control
Pain
Frustration
Anger
WOOO HOO! Way to go Girl!
whats the worst thing youve done during a meeting?
years ago, when i was a bit more wicked/naughty/younger than i am now, i thought i would take some drugs just prior to the meeting to see if it would make things any more interesting.
it didnt, but at least i enjoyed the kingdom melodies tapping my foot to the beat and bopping my head!!
Nothing too exciting or bad:
My friends and I would sit together and "deface" our watchtowers with notes back and forth to eachother....hey, it made the time go by faster. Sometimes though, we would get in laughing fits and need to excuse ourselves to the bathroom
my mom called last night to tell me he passed on sunday.
he died peacefully and fairly painlessly.
my mom said she was talking with him, went to answer the phone, and 5 minutes later he was gone.
So Sorry to hear of your loss
