I know of a CO's wife who would get in a tizzy if you would even say "Jiminy Crickets". She said it was just another way of saying "Jesus Christ" (?). She also was offended by the expressions "pissed" & "sucked".

I actully don't POST too often.... I guess I'm a bit shy and figure who wants to listen to me?!... SO I usually just read others posts. I look at this site as my "therapy session" each day. It's helped me cope with what I'm experiencing and remain strong with the decision my family and I are making. I feel close to so many on here since we are all plugging along, doing the best that we can. Just knowing others are dealing with the same thing, is a comfort.

You need to change your thinking on this.... if the in laws are going to act so rude like this, THEY aren't the ones worthy of being called "mom and dad" or "Grandma and Grandapa" by you or our kids. Who needs that? I know it does hurt, but if they acted like that to the previous wives, it must just be their nature.... too bad. They are missing out. | ||

mumsy had knee replacement.
from what i know she is in alot of pain.

i was 11, coming out of the 5th grade, my dad had just been to jail for having sex with a kid who was 14 at the time, he has been having sex with her for two years and everyone in the 1900 person town i grew up in new it.
i remember always being the last picked for everything.
i couldnt even throw a baseball or football correctly, it always looked like i was lobbing a grenade, no accuracy, no power, nothing.

my view of life has changed significantly in many ways, as i'm sure is true for many of you.. i think differently about my future, fellow humans, friends, family, past time activites etc.

I think differently about my future, fellow humans, friends, family, past time activites etc. including music and lyrics. It's funny how now I'll hear a song { doesn't necessarly have to be a newly released song} but I seem to change the initial meaning to fit my life. For example, on a road trip this past weekend, my husband and I we're sick of listening to the radio so decided to put in an old mixed CD of mine. The first song was "Survivor" by Destinys Child. I'm not too fond of that group, or that song, but for some reason listened to it ..... it's crazy how with such a life altering experience, you view so many things in life much differently than you did in the past... So what sorts of things in life do you look at differently now? Do you have any exjw "motivational songs" ?

i am turning the page on my former life.
there are new hopes and dreams out there for me, and i no longer want to have the jw feelings holding me back.
as helpful as it was to talk about and sort out my feelings i just don't feel i have any more to say.. for all of those who helped me sort out my feelings, i will always be grateful.
