My Husband is an Ex JW ( fadder), like me. Although we both really could have done without the stress and confussion of leaving a cult, I think it was an experience that has brought us closer together....I don't know what I would do if I didn't have somoeone who could relate to the emotions I am going through.

my wife is an ex dub like me.. it certainly helps that she understands why i am the way i am, and the actions of her in - laws.. what about you?

That sounds like a good reply. It's hard to not WANT to reply since she does seem to be trying her best and being genuine. After all, she shouldn't even be E-mailing you since you are DF'd. I feel that shows she really does care.... and value your friendship.
See if she can just talk on a personal basis next time, not bring up meetings, "when are you going to get your act together" etc. If she can accept you as the person you are, she is a true friend. If not, then it's not worth the trouble. I know it really brings up a lot of emotions. I'm dealing with a simular situation myself with figuring out who are my TRUE friends ( if I even have any that are JW's )....I still haven't gotten it all figured out. Best of luck...

Horror film shower scene!

my cats glanced towards the steps as did i. then a minute later, i hear another noise, and both cats run to the bottom of the steps looking up like they wanted to pounce.
i was a little freaked, but ignored it.

I too, along with my husband ,am doing the fadding thing. I haven't been to a meeting for about 4 months now, My husband , since the memorial. How is THAT going for you? How long have you been gone? We both still have family "in", as of now, so figure it's best to stay under the "radar" for as long as possible. Just had the visit of the CO and had a few phone calls, but for the most part, besides the inital shock of many when we first left, we have been left alone. WHEW!

That's it. We're moving to the Yucatan Peninsula (Cancun Pics)

we may have to move there some day.on the beach, in playa del carmen (a little south of cancun) for about $200k.
that's disgusting compared to what you would pay for anything in the usa that is situated along a nice shoreline.

"Stumbling"
by tall penguin inbefore i disassociated myself a month ago, i sent out a brief letter to a few of my friends to let them know about my choice and my reasons for so choosing.
the responses varied.
one of the common responses i received was "i'm sorry you were stumbled.

Good letter.
I believe the reason that people say you left becasue you were "stumbled" is because that takes the blame off of them or the org. and places it on YOU. It's YOUR problem, not thiers. You are right, most JW's do just assume that is the reason why people leave...

We had a black and white pomeranian before Oliver that we named Beemer....( after the car BMW) he passed away only after having him for 3 months. He had a heart murmer....
So we wanted to stick with the theme,and named Oliver after an "Oliver Tractor"....
