It says we all have life scripts we live by. Here is some information I got from various sites online.

It introduces the idea of a "Life (or Childhood) Script", that is, a story one perceives about ones own life, to answer questions such as "What matters", "How do I get along in life" and "What kind of person am I". This story, TA says, is often stuck to no matter the consequences, to "prove" one is right, even at the cost of pain, compulsion, self-defeating behaviour and other dysfunction. Thus TA offers a theory of a broad range of psychopathology.
Life (or Childhood) Script
Script is a life plan, directed to a pay-off.
Script is decisional and responsive, ie decided upon in childhood in response to perceptions of the world and as a means of living with and making sense of. It is not just thrust upon a person by external forces.
Script is reinforced by parents (or other influential figures and experiences)
Script is for the most part outside awareness
Script is how we navigate and what we look for, the rest of reality is redefined (distorted) to match our filters.

Each culture, country and people in the world has a Mythos, that is, a legend explaining its origins, core beliefs and purpose. According to TA, so do individual people. A person begins writing their own life story (script) very young, as they try to make sense of the world and their place within it. Although it is revised throughout life, the core story is selected and decided upon typically by age 7. As adults it passes out of awareness. A life script might be "to be hurt many times, and suffer and make others feel bad when I die", and could result in a person indeed setting themselves up for this, by adopting behaviours in childhood that produce exactly this effect. Or it could as easily be positive.
Life scripts. A large part of your life story unfolds like the script of a drama or play. You are "in script" when your life is mostly under the control of family influences and childhood decisions. The nature of your script, whether positive or negative, depends on the kinds of permissions and prohibitions you received as a child, and the resulting early decisions you made.
People are OK - thus each person has validity, importance, equality of respect.
Everyone (with only few exceptions) has full adult capability to think.
People decide their story and destiny, and this is a decision, it can be changed.
Freedom from historical maladaptations embedded in the childhood script is required, in order to become free of inappropriate unauthentic and displaced emotion which are not a fair and honest reflection of here-and-now life

My life script was taken from a story Snow White and Rose Red. Most peoples scripts are from thier favorite childhood story and then the story and characters are supposed to be played out in thier lives. Think of someone that has Wizard of OZ, or Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as their favorite story and how they might play that out in their lives.

I have thought alot about the bible.......and how it is a story with a script. Genesis to Revelation. Do we merely have to be destined to play this out, this script in the bible? Is that why so many strive so hard to figure out the future from the bible, so that we(mankind) can play the parts? What if there were never a bible and people did not have to think about these things? Try to figure out the different characters and put people in them.......ie, sheep, goats, FDS, harlot, beast, etc etc etc......

Maybe if the script of the world was totally different.......The bible were a different story altogether, maybe we would not have the world we have today.

What are your thoughts on this? Is there any validity to it? or am I nuts(don't answer that one)

these last 2 months have been the worst of my life.

i can only answer my subject question by saying the purpose of life is the 4 things sought after in the wizard of oz: love, courage, intelligence, and home.. and we all possess them whether we know it or not.

and especially love.

I have not been to a convention or assemby in I don't know how many years that the society has not given their warning about the internet. and The JW's using it. They have skits and make fun of people for meeting others online. While information is all over about being careful online with who you meet and give information to........The society takes it to extreme counselling not to use it at all.........There are so many Witnesses that if not for the net would have died from loneliness from not getting needs met at the KH.......only being allowed to associate with whatever number of people are in your congo.......

I watched the last half of the show and the info from the doc was good.

Anyone that promotes you not to think is to be leary of. If you are not allowed to come to your own conclusions....... Amazing how many want to control others.

When the girl made the statement that she grew up with them telling her if she shook a black persons hand she would turn black.........I really felt sorry for them.

I hope everyone can get out of any mess they are in and experiance some kind of mental, emotional, and spiritual freedom, whether it is a cult, bad marriage, bad job, wacked living arrangements. whatever, Life can be better.

Awkward car situations.

did you ever have a serious problem while driving an awkward breakdown fire, or accident?

my worst was when i got an overheating problem on a night in the middle of nowhere.

it was the water pump, but by driving 20 miles at a time stopping to cool down and then restarting i got home.

I was headed to some friends in New Orleans to take my daughter there for two week visit, then she was flying to Florida for a visit there.

We get almost where we are going and I pull to a gas station to get something and hit a curb and blew out my tire. Me and my daughter got out to assess......and within a few minutes two guys came and changed the tire.....we were back on the road in 5 minutes time.

The next day I leave, and get the tire fixed. and head on my way..but first I go to where my daughter is staying and give her my cash for her holiday.

Back on the freeway, I blow another tire. I was crying my eyes out, getting the spare and jack out of the back of the car.

A man stops and comes to the car and asks me what happened, I tell him and he says or kinda yells....What are you crying for? I said I just went through this yesterday.........then he asks me for a 100 bucks.......I said I dont have a hundred bucks.....and he says..Where ya going.......and on and on.....

I said, It's ok I can fix it myself........He said I was just checking you out to see if it was ok to help.

He took me to get the car fixed, and while they were wroking on it I went with him and his lovely family to lunch with them.....and cried all through lunch.........He said why are you still crying? I said just when you think there are not any nice people in the world ....you find out there are.........( I had just spent the weekend at JW convention, hearing about how bad worldly people are!

Well, the tire was supposed to be fixed for very little money, but it wound up needing to be replaced. I did not have the money to buy a new tire and my new friend thinking I was in good hands left.........So the guy says you can get used at this place.......down this road and then down this gravel road.........

OMG, you should have seen this place.........I drive up and see this guy working on a lawnmower, he comes to me and says .blahblahblah........I know this is long story.....He gets his boss to get tire for me.........While they are talking .......he lifts his shirt to show his nipple ring .........GULP!!!!

I got my cell phone and hooked up to civilization.........

So , the boss says he will take my ring for payment for a tire...........Cripes!!! anyway I searched through all my bags and car and found enough cash to get a new tire and be on my way. Scared half to death.

Travelling is so much fun alone!!!!!
