My husband had a heart attack
by MsMcDucket inhello all, the last 24+ hours, i've been at the hospital.
i took my husband in because he was having chest pains.
come to find out his cardiac enzymes were elevated and his ekg was abnormal.

Nathan Knorr and Bethel Life in the seventies
by Boxed elder bugs inwhen i was at bethel in the 70's the president of the watchtower society nathan knorr was really unpopular among a lot of bethelites because he supported the four year oblligation for bethelites to stay at bethel and stay single for four years.
i had heard that over nintey percent of the people who left bethel fell away from the jw religion afterwards, i was among that number, and i had heard that the majority of people who came to bethel did not keep there four year commitment but left in less than a year, i know the majority of people i started with lasted about a year at bethel, i was dumb enough to stay at bethel three and one half years.
i guess it was because i was raised in the witnesses and didn't know what to do after i lost my faith in that religion while i was there.

this morning i had the most bizarre subway ride.
i board the number 3 train at grand army plaza after 9 a.m. find a seat, then settle into reading henry james for class.

That was so funny! That brought memories for me.
When I use to ride the subway into Washington D.C, every moring there was an Asian man who would get on the redline and orange line trains and start to sing (very, very loud) all of them Christian songs. (I do have to say, that he had a beautiful voice)
One morning he started with his singing and someone yelled out....'NOT THIS MORNING!' He stopped singing, smiled and bowed towards the people on the train. Next stopped, he jumped off and ran up to sing for another group. haa

Why Do We Come Onto These Boards???

even when people say that they're done, they're never coming back, they reappear......what's wrong with us?

We come here to this board, because we all have something in common....we left the WBTS. (or ready to leave)
We have family that have shunned us and when we discuss this to friends or neighbors....they just look at us and can't understand it. Here we have each other to vent our frustrations and EVERYONE can understand.
I might not post much...but I do read the comments. I love here!

Are You Psychic & Is Grace Still Following You?

we were all taught from the wtb&ts, that these things were demonic in nature.
i've always had a sense of myself as being touched, gifted you might say, at perception, being able to sense when something was about to take place.

Others have told me that I am psychic....so, I will mention only a few of the things that I have experienced.
- as a small child I saw ghosts
- have many dreams- that come true
- saw my nephew (only toddler at the time) lifted into the air and placed gently onto the floor
- people have seen ghosts around me - which scared them
- recently - saw a ghost
- my children - when they were small saw a man standing by their bedroom's doors. They were screaming! I ran to the bedroom and they were shaking. They asked me if I saw the man. I started to describe him and they said, 'you saw him.' I told them, don't worry he will never come back.

Diet and lifestyle change
by dorayakii ini've recently made a diet and lifestyle change as part of a new years resolution of sorts.
i'm just going to give myself some incentive to stick with it by listing it here for all on jwd to see.
the reason why i've started this is that, although i'm not fat, i noticed that in the last couple of years i've lost my bottom abs.
