What made your whole congregation laugh during a meeting?????????

a sister was visiting our hall from another congregation and was sitting in the back of the hall.
she raised her hand to answer a question, but only had one finger in the air.

From door to door, to door, to door.......
by Gill inwhat's the point i ask you?
here in the uk, it's an unavoidable fact that the majority of people are out at work, shopping etc.
if you really wanted to speak to people, and felt an urgent duty because the 'end is near' why aren't the jws in the shopping centres, streets, and generally where the people are?.

When I was 17, we use to visit in the chicago area. I didnt mind going out there. We would stand on very busy corner next to alot of shops. But the best part was I didnt have to say anything. Just handed out pamplets! Easy enough.

YESTERDAY'S WT STUDY
by Mary inoh lordy, at yesterday's botchtower study, paragraph 17 (i think) asked what we personally found "encouraging" about the 2004 stats that are listed by country in the wt.
anyway, someone finally put up their hand and remarked about how wonderful it was to see that ethiopia had a 5% increase......ya, i guess if you're starving to death, who wouldn't want to hear that paradise is right around the corner.
one bro put up his hand and actually mentioned the fact that there was 0% increase in virtually all the industrialized nations, but that we "shouldn't let that discourage us".

I just remembered what my brother said yesterday. When they were talking about percetages of 1 out of 24 studies, he said
"My wife use to make wedding cakes, if only one out of 24 didnt turn out, she would have to find another job! LOL. But he quickly recovered by saying how these people who go to other countries stay encouraged if they get 1 study out of 24.

If I had to choose to go where the people are, or not at homes, man I would pick the not at homes. I hated running into people I knew!

I only have one that comes to mind. A sister was visiting our hall from another congregation and was sitting in the back of the hall. She raised her hand to answer a question, but only had one finger in the air. The conductor didnt know her name so he said "yes, the sister with the finger in the rear"! Everyone just burst out laughing, and when they finally stopped, he says "I guess that didnt come out right! " Everyone started laughing all over again.
Anyone else?
