  2005 District Assemblies?

  does anyone know when they will annouce where the 2005 district assemblies, i mean conventions will be?

  my sister and i were talking yesterday and we were surprised that they hadn't posted anything on there website and i hadn't seen anything on here either...reason being she makes up her son's visitation schedule for the summertime with his father and wanted to make it so that he wasn't there for that week when there convention is...hehehehe...she's does that for the past 2 years.

  she said it seemed kinda late that they hadn't announced anything...we were kidding around and hoping, "hey, maybe there out going to have them anymore; just more circuit assemblies instead.

  what was your most embarrassing moment as a jw?.

  i was in 7th grade.

  my science teacher was a jw.

  After the opening song the bro asked if anyone would volunteer to give a talk that was assigned to a sister who had not shown up. My stupid hand shot up into the air.

  I wrote down the abbreviated book title and page numbers the talk was taken out of, and the nine year old girl next to me volunteered to be my householder. We scuttled back to the library to prepare the talk.

  It was awful, the talk was about suppressing your sexual appetite and nothing else. Did I tell you I was fourteen at the time?

  Well, brave girls that we were we gave that talk. Yep for 3 minutes I counseled that little sister about suppressing her sexual appetite.

  When we got off the stage and back in our seats the real embarrassment began. The brother got up on stage and was quiet for a while, he looked a little confused. Then he proceeded to tell me that I must have looked in the wrong book to prepare the talk because that was not suppose to be what the talk was about.

  i forgot, the funniest movie i have seen in a long time is

  Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle

  if you havent seen it please rent it, the fate of the sequel depends on how well it does on dvd.

  great article!

  It made me wonder, doesn't the use of the hospital liason committee leave the org wide open for lawsuits, because they can not just say that a person decided for themselves that they did not want blood and therefore they are not responsible. Doesnt the HLC take an active role in the patient's care? and dont they report directly to the org? I might be way off, any insight?

  well, a post from low-key lysmith on another topic got me thinking about the less than memorable food at the conventions and assemblies.

  anyone have some thoughts to share?.

  i missed the ham and cheese on rye-- it was one item that was actually pretty good.

  I posted this in the intense service experience but it applies here too:

  when i was around 12-13 i went to a door with my sister anyways out of nowhere I saw this kid I knew walking towards us up the street, without even thinking about it I tore off my tie, stuffed it in my bag and threw my bag over the side of the porch. I was so embarrased.I made up a story of how i was just visiting a friend.
