Cats are the ultimate predator. I had a bird feeder in my yard and it was merely a smorgasbord for my cat. So, I took down the feeder to reduce the birds and I limit my cat's time outdoors. (He's getting old anyway).

My girlfriends cat is a stone-cold killer.
by Low-Key Lysmith ini don't know how to stop her.
we put a bell around her neck so that she makes noise when she moves around but she still manages to kill at least one sparrow or squirrel a day.
i was on the back porch smoking a cigar one afternoon and saw her jump up and catch a low-flying crow right out of the air.

Brenda,
I am an animal lover and I have a cat. Although he is 12 years of age, he seems healthy, but slowed down. I sure hope he doesn't get diabetes. By the way, you are commended for your humanitarian treatment of your pets.

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION AGAINST ANIMAL CRUELTY
by Sam the Man inplease do not read if you get overly upset by animal cruelty .
in the indian ocean, they are using live dogs and cats to throw in as bait for sharks.
rspca petition.

I signed it. I am a member of PETA. I used to go out on protest marches with them. PETA publishes a monthly magazine to which I subscribe that keeps up on all the animal abuses, but this is the first I've heard of this. It's appalling.

John Lennon's Jukebox
by poppers init was on last night on pbs.
he actually had a jukebox filled with his favorite music, and the show was about how those tunes influenced him as a musician.
it was very interesting - wish it had been more than an hour long, though.. http://www.pbs.org/wnet/gperf/shows/lennon/

Sorry I missed that one. I did see the one on Bob Dylan, though. Really liked it.

Yep, enigmatic, I sure am; and I also drink Gevalia. Absolutely love it! I have not tried the Peruvian, but since you hailed it I will. I have been drinking the Antigua. I do switch to the decaf in the afternoon though to avoid the shakes.

Limping on two opinions - mine and theirs!
by atypical ini have been lurking at these sites for a while and have finally decided to post.
forgive me for not wanting to give any clues as to my identity, but i am still struggling as a fence-sitter - knowing how i feel but not wanting to be cut off from my family and friends.
so my meeting attendance is sporadic; when i go to the meetings i am told "i'm worried about you" or "where have you been, your wife has been coming by herself".

Welcome to the board, Atypical. You will like it here. Your story is similar to many of ours. I was not raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses but I began to have panic attacks which eventually led to a complete break with reality. I began seeing a therapist, but instead of listening to him I tried to convert him to Jehovah's Witnesses even though I had lost much of my faith. I was not given any sort of comfort by the Witnesses; instead, they said I was spiritually weak, I didn't have enough faith in Jehovah, or I was guilty of serious sin which I was not confessing. Anyway, this forum helped me to make the break completely. All of my anxiety attacks were caused by my own doubts colliding with the reality of what the organization really was -- not the truth. Anyway, I wish you the best. Keep coming here and we will help you, too.
