leaving
by Lo-ru-hamah into those of you that have been jw's for many years... i would like to know how it is that you have transferred to your new life.
my family and i are in the process, actually, we have left because of many of the issues brought up on this forum.
this, being jw's, is all that we have ever known.

My wife has joined me in leaving the Watchtower!!!
by AlmostAtheist ini had posted a few times since my awakening asking how best to talk to my wife about my new take on things.
i was very afraid of handilng it poorly and chasing her deeper into the organization.
instead, she basically said, 'i've been feeling the same way!

Why is the "end of times" prospect attractive...
by Narkissos inor, perhaps, why was it attractive to you at some stage of your life?.
intense suffering might be the right answer in exceptional cases, but hardly for vast numbers (such as most early christians or modern-day cult members).. what then?
fear of life?

Since you left Jehovahs................................
by defd inorganization and the faith.
what hope do yall entertain for the future....the everlasting future?
do you still believe, want to be on a paradise earth or what?
-
kazar
No, I do not believe there will be a paradise earth--although I still wish it would be. Even when I was a Witness I knew scientifically the universe is growing old and our galaxy along with earth in time would be extinguished by our sun exploding, swallowed by a black hole, etc. So, how was it ever going to be a paradise earth forever? I tried to logically reconcile the two beliefs by putting the scientific one out of my mind, which didn't always work. These were many of the conflicts which eventually led me to this board.

Is there anthropological evidence proving the Nephilim's existence?
by truthseeker ini've had this question is my mind for a while now, but has there been any skeletal remains discovered that could prove the existence of the nephilim?.
there's so many unanswered questions about these giants - first of all, were they really hybrids?.
secondly, if the demons could materialise and procreate, how do we not know that they gave their children the same reproductive powers?.

Pope, thanks. I was mixing it up. I was getting confused thinking about it.
