  GOD: An Imaginary friend?

  have you ever had that you couldnt sleep at night and that your mind starts racing thoughts?

  i had one of those nights and this is basically the fruit of it.. is god an imaginary friend?

  when children feel very lonely or misunderstood it can happen that a psychological survival system kicks in: the imaginary friend.

  When I first became "godless" I felt immense relief having freed myself from Watchtower theology. There were times I missed the comfort I felt that there was a God watching over me. But there is not way I would go back. The times I received "comfort" were very few. I found life is warm and comforting most of the time. Way more than the JW way of life.

  Fred Franz's words - haunting JWs from beyond the grave!

  as most people on this site have come to know, the "new world translation committee", the group claiming responsibility for the "new world translation of the holy scriptures", consisted of fred franz and a bunch of lackeys who did busy-work.

  franz was the only one hwho had even a passing knowledge of biblical hebrew & greek.. the 7/15/11 wt's comments about "mentally diseased" apostates is causing quite a stir in the uk in print and online.

  there are numerous threads on that topic on this board today.. the phrase "mentally diseased" in this context is a direct quote from 1 timothy 6:3-4 from the nwt:.

  What Do You Like For A Drink?

  i'm usually a cognac drinker.

  i love armagnac too.

  and i enjoy a martini i invented---mandarin vodka with a slight bit, usually about a capful of chambord served in an ice cold martini glass.. this saturday i'm mixing with my gf's friends and family in conn. with some affluent people and i might want to try something different.

  My first English Essay for college, I wrote about my experience as a JW.

  so i am in my first semester of college, and i'm really enjoying it.

  i am already tired since i work full time in addition to going to school full time, but i will get over that hump eventually.

  anyway in my english 101 class our first essay due was to be a personal narrative, 4 pages(ish), in mla format using microsoft word.

  Japanese dolphin slaughter..........

  the japanese dolphin slaughter commenced on the 7th of september and will continue through to march of next year.

  thousands upon thousands of dolphins/whales will lose their lives.

  those that do survive will be sent to places like seaworld where they will be forced to perform for us humans.. this video is very upsetting.... makes you realize how truly evil members of the human race are.... i wouldn't suggest watching if you are weak stomached.. just wanted to share as many people don't realize that this goes on.

  movie World Apart

  for those who may be interested, on the sundance channel a movie called worlds apart, is on right now in philly, which is about a 17 year old jehovah witnesses girl who fall in love with a young man who is not a witnesses.

  it will be coming back on sept. 15th at 7:00am.

  i've been lurking for a few months and want to get in on some of the conversation.. also here's a song that's taken on a new personal meaning for me.

  (i was born in to a witness family and have recently woke up to the fact that it is just a group of people following just men.
