Do you miss feeling that "Jehovah" was listening to prayers?

the other day, my neice was put in the hospital for test , after having two seizures, she is 20 and has never had any medical problems at all.
i now know, that by doing that it seemed to take the burden of helplessness off of my shoulders.

lyineyes it is very wise and proper to feel that way about Jehovah God. He is the one and only True God and there is no other God but Him. Continue to pray to Him. Ask for the strength and wisdom to recover and to come back.

#2 Talks
by dothemath inbrothers assigned #2 talks have no work to do at all as far as i can see.
if you're even a moderately good reader, you could look over it for about 2 minutes ahead of time.. when someone doesn't show up for the reading, and another brother fills in "short notice", there really isn't any noticeable change in the talk, or how it's read.
in other words, just about anyone could do it.. and then the counselor has to come up with terms about how well the brother read it.........etc., etc., etc.. the commendation is pretty much identical every week for this part.. the sisters have to do extensive research on their parts, but the younger brothers who don't do the #4 assignments have got it very easy..........for most, it's about a 5 min.

...to my mind if there is a god (in the almighty universal creator sense), it's something we humans do not even have a real concept of, certainly not anything spoken about in any holy book.
in a general sense, people can worship whatever they want and make anything their god.
That is exactlly why this world is in the shape it is in! They worship everything but the One and Only True God!

would anyone be willing to make regular contributions to an 'exposure fund'?.
it wouldn't be a 'fighting fund', we couldn't hope to compete against watchtower finances or its legal department in that way.

my sugesstion would be NO! You shouldnt do it. The reason is biblical. If you know the Bible you would remember an account were Some of the religous leaders wanted to do away with Jesus and his apostles. However one reasoned with the rest and basically said Look if these men are doing things of there own initiative it will fail it always have in the past, remember the others who tried things like this and how it came to nothing? But if it is from God you may actually find yourselves fighters AGAINST God. Just leave them alone for your own good!

I read your story and it made me sad really. Sounds like you had some rough times. But it is NOT Jehovahs fault that the people who CLAIMED to worship Him didnt! All those things you described in your post that people done are things that Jehovah God disagree with. Believe me those people will answer to Jesus for what they have done. The bible says that ALL will stand before the judgement seat and that God will render to each one according to his or her works. You said that you always new that what you were taught was false! I dont believe that. You had just never put it into your heart! Or as the saying goes, Made it your own. I believe it is beacause of what you said in your post:

That is not true. Witness faithful witness of Jehovah do not think or believe that. His organization does not teach or beleive that either. You have got it backwards. The religions of this world think that way.

Judgeing by your pic of you and your dog, that in itself answers your question with a Loud yes. By the look of it you love your dog. With good reason it looks like a beautiful dog. Animals bring humans so much pleasure and who do we have to thank for that? Jehovah! He is the one who created them. He created them for us! our enjoyment. Does Jehovah love us? Yes He does

In the Eden account God said that they would die and that they did. They were created to live forever. As we know they died.Just as Jehovah God had said. The Devil said they wouldnt ( LIE) Thats all the proof i need!
