Do you care if DefD stays a JW or not?

he's been on for quite some time now, maybe not a year, but awhile.
many have tried to show him the many ways the watchtower doesn't live up to its claim of being god's organization, but he seems unflappable.. so where do you stand on him now?

Sorry about your truck, defd. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. You aren't even an enemy, so you definitely have my sympathy. Heck, if you are having to drive a van now instead of a truck, you have my empathy.

You too huh? Vans are alright. The truck suited me better. TRhat is not the only vehicle we have so I wont be driving the van much. As for getting an ugly girl. I gave up getting drunk along time ago. I would have to become a raging alcoholic to settle down with an ugly girl..........J/K

Its a.............................its a.....................................its a.................. stupid van! My wife said I had my shot at the truck now its her turn to pick. A VAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I miss my truck That ok though. As long as the wife is happy, EVERYONE is happy. I still miss my truck though.

Do jws thrive on crisis?
by tall penguin ini've been thinking about this a lot lately.
in my experience, jws don't know how to handle joy but they're very willing to get pumped up when there is a crisis.
the whole religion centres around saving people from an impending destruction.

I am an active Jw and I have alot of joy. *sometimes too much* No, really I can see what you mean. Some people are so afraid to have fun in fear of what OTHERS might say and think. That is one of the problems many people have. They are trying to please the wrong people.

Having a hard time tonight
by onesong init's been 2 months since i was df'd and 4 months since i've talked to anyone in my family.
for the most part i'm doing real well but every now and then it catches up with me.
ran into my dad today and when i tried to say hi he could only ignore me.. i think the pain and hurt i feel now is more for him, he's in his own world of misery and doesn't even know it.. anyway, i'm a little drunk and depressed and just felt like getting it off my chest.. hope this doesn't bring anyone else down.. namaste'

i know i was lied to before baptism but i was wondering if it got worse after being baptised.
i would like to know if things changed in doctrine or knowledge after you were baptised.

I can answer that old flame. They do not hold nothing back at least with me they didnt. Well let me rephrase that. Yes they did. My teachers didnt prepare me for the friendly fire I would encounter along my journey down the narrow and cramped road. Something I will do for the ones I study with.
