I think I just vomited in my mouth a little...
What's wrong with these people? When will they realise that God's not going to sit there and judge them on their percentages and statistics as to whether they are eligble for salvation or not...

I hate dusting. You dust - turn around - turn back and the dust is back! ewww.. no matter how fine the layer its just gets on my nerves.
Or when you are talking to someone on their mobile (cell) phone and their home phone rings and they answer that and keep you waiting...!

Aude I can definately recommend karoake. its so much fun. Make sure you've had a couple of drinks before hand in case of stage fright! And I think Henna tattoos are fabulous. They look so beautiful.
I really believe that its a great thing to challenge yourself. Is there anything your afraid of? Is there anything that seems insurmountable to you? How about conquering that for your birthday?

Has anyone here ever just gotten so sick of it all that they just packed up their belongings and pets and left?
Yep. In my mid 20's I made a decision one morning that I didn't want to live where I was anymore. 2 weeks later I had sold all my furniture, quit my job, given up the lease on my house and packed everything I owned into my car. A 13 hour drive later I arrived at my destination.
How did you do it? Did you know people in the place that you went to? How did you find work?
I did know people there. I stayed with them for a couple of weeks (which was terrible and I have nothing to do with them now.) and by then I had found a room to rent with some girls and a new job. I had to make all new friends. I found work through the internet.
Was it a big social shock like from country to large city?
I moved to a city much larger than from where I had grown up. It was amazing. I think I walked about the place the whole time with my eye's bulging! It was like being a kid in a candy store. Always new things to do and see.
Was it worth it in the end?
Definately. I'd always lived in the same town. I needed to see more of the world. Being a long distance away from my family actually helped me to form a relationship with them for the first time! (weird hey..) I eventually came back home but with a whole lot of life experiences under my belt which helps me so much to date.

I got a letter from my sponsor daughter in Honduras. I haven't heard from her for ages now so it was really exciting to read about how she is going at school and how things are improving for her and her family. Just makes me smile from ear to ear!

i think round the time i got baptised there were around 14,000 in attendance.. theres footage of the convention, there footage of us volunteers early in the morning making sandwhiches in our gorgeous cloth hats and aprons, and then theres my baptisim,.
sure brought back a lot of memories.

I remember a sister from my cong when it was her turn to get dunked. Turns out she was afraid of water. (which explains her obnoxious body odour). It took them about 15 minutes to get her in the tank.

A new urban legend
by loosie ini just got this in my email.
has anyone heard this one yet?.
this is an experience from andre' r_____, overseer, just back from the branch committee course at patterson: in england, one of our blind brothers had a seeing-eye dog that would faithfully guide and take him to the meetings each week.

Yes I heard this one about 10 years ago I kid you not... How funny that its begun circulating again.
Funny story... When I was r&f - I found out all these amazing miraculous experiences including this one off the net. I printed them all off and put them in a folder for my mum to encourage her. She still has and reads the bloody thing. Dammit!
